410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread**

I store my Magma grill in the midcabin under the bed. After it cools I place it in a garbage bag, then inside the storage bag. No smell, out of the way. It's the only way I could find to store that beast of a grill...short of putting it in the engine room.

Which model? I have one of the smaller magmas that fits nicely in the lazarette but I've been thinking of going with a larger grill now that we have a bigger boat.

I’m pretty sure it’s a Q1200. It’s not big but it is mighty. Gets plenty hot to give a great sear, and I can get meals for 12 done pretty easily, but I have to cook in shifts. 6 burgers or 12 brats/sausages at a time.

I have a rectangular Magma, not sure what model. It's covered in same canvas as the top and was on the boat when I purchased and it sits in the rod holder. We don't have floating docks so it was always in the way when stepping up off the port side, which is really the only way I can get out of the boat at my marina. Couldn't find anyplace in boat to store. Took me awhile, but I figured out you can store it in the starboard side rod holder and it's never in the way because I'd have to walk across the seats to exit on that side. Just carry it back to port side when it's time to cook. It's turned backwards when stored but you can't tell because it's covered.

Guys, how do I remove the helm seat next to the Captains chair? My seat back has gotten loose and it looks like there are four t-bolts holding the seat bottom and back to the helm storage, for lack of a better description. I don't see a way to tighten the seat back by itself without removing the whole thing and probably removing some vinyl. Any tips?

My Magma fits in the transom locker, I usually put it in the port side rod holder when being used.

On the 410 there are long bolts under the seat in the storage cabinet under the seat. Thats where you would tighten or remove if some of the bolts have come loose in the frame of the back rest. You will have to lay on your back and slide your head to the back of the storage cabinet.

i started to do this and the seat bottom comes off but the arch backrest I couldn’t remove. The nuts spun the stud. I’m sure they could be held by a pair of pliers but I lost patience

I need to get it off this winter because the zipper came apart that holds the foam in

I can't help on the loose seat back. However, I did remove that seat when replacing the fridge, it came out as a single unit. If I remember, 6 or 8 nuts hold it on, spun those off, lifted the seat and laid it back out of the way.

Put a windscreen shade on the boat. Love it

The nozzle on the hose in my anchor locker is aftermarket and it’s still anemic. Not as bad as the shower wand back by the transom door, but not great at all.
I don’t care too much about the shower wand but it sure would be nice to be able to wash the muck off of the anchor and chain with a little more force.
I know this is a 3 year old post, but did you ever find a solution? I installed a new water pump to no avail.

Updated on my A/C, thinking start capacitor was acting up, literally beat the top of the compressor with my first while starting, figure might help get the stalled electric motor started with some vibration.. has worked great ever since.

I upgrades from a 2 gpm to a 3 gpm. It sounds like 4 is the way to go. Thanks!
Yeah 4 seemed to be the sweet spot. Just be careful when ya shower, will use a lot more water haha.
