410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread**

My aft “400” logo was looking a little rough after I removed the gold from it last year leaving me with just the black. I liked the look but I have already replaced all of the emblems with chrome from the gold.

I found a website that I could make custom “domed” vinyl decals since I didn’t want just a flat vinyl logo. I played with the font enough to get a close enough match to original. I toyed with the idea of going to the newer style font but I feel this matches the boat well.

I really need the same. Mind sharing what site or service you used?

Absolutely,

it’s domedlettering dot com.

You will need to manipulate the font with a slant to the right a bit when you find the closest one. I can’t recall the name that I used but I’m sure I can find it.

Another option for you fellas. I did my 400 on the back (and arch) with a similar setup but black.

It looks fantastic, when you removed your stripes do you still get a ghost image of them in your fiberglass? The previous owner of my boat had the name painted on the back and it has been long gone but I can still see the outline of it at times on the transom door.

Thanks!

I do have ghosting from the prior name on the boat. It does get less noticeable with each year and each wax job...

I have the smallest amount of ghosting. You have to be really close to the boat to see it.

I had significant "ghosting" on my transom also. The detail guy I used actually block sanded the area down then polished it back; the ghosting is completely gone.

Looks very clean, I think I will have my stripes removed this year, they either need to be replaced or erased and looking at yours I think I will go erased.

I just installed a new garmin 1243xsv Chartplotter. The mount is shorter, so I have a couple holes in my dash I need to fill. Does anyone know what color the dash is on a 2001 410da. I am gonna call Sea Ray, but figured I would ask here first.

That's smart. I've always wondered about the placement while I'm scrubbing a scum line 2-3 times a year. Just a bit more bottom paint and she's be perfect...

right. We are in a very calm and protected Marina basin with clear water but there are parts of the lake and bay we go to that will turn the hull yellow really quick. I didn’t do anything fancy just scuffed up the gelcoat and painted over it. I probably should’ve done barrier coat and such but it’s not submerged it just gets splashed

I definitely see the merits of raising the waterline as I am constantly cleaning it. However, one of the things I love about our 400 is how it sits on the waterline almost exactly. Totally a personal preference of mine, I like the white break from the bottom paint to the stripe.

Also, note the brown stain on the platform!

agreed, I prefer that too but your water looks nicer than ours :) The Genesee river is a milkshake, its amazing what it will do to a white hull in a hurry

Believe the dash is Zephyr Armorcote gelcote but not so sure it's available
