36 Sedan Bridge Owners

Check the connections themselves on the antenna. From what I've read, the crimping job can be marginal at best.

Thanks Royal Flush..I've made a few calls to some movers in the area and am hearing the same thing - the arch will need to come off along with the windshield and then be reassembled upon delivery..It's going to be a spendy 1600 mile journey.

To all of my special friends out there ( especially Wet Paint) that own this beautiful 36 sedan bridge: I am sure some of you wonder how I got the call name "Royal Flush"; Well my wife likes to play cards and has never had a Royal Flush so I told her I would name our next boat "Royal Flush"- Just as we were about to sign the papers to buy the boat I noticed a guy in our marina that had a small boat with a mobile waste pump-out service called "Royal Flush". I had enough of that name and we named our 2008 36 sedan bridge "Dueces Wild".

Hi Folks,

I've looked at a lot of pictures of this boat and with regards to the aft canvas curtain and the full bridge enclosure, it appears that most people remove the entire aft curtain. My question is, have anyone opted to have the full bridge enclousure removed and gone with some kind of custom cover? I have spoken to someone about removing the bridge cover and going with something custom. I'm not finding too many people are doing this, however. Seems like the only picture I found that doesn't have the bridge enclosure is in the Sea Ray SB catalogue.

Does anyone have any compelling reason why this would be a really bad idea? I understand in this scenario I may need to get some kind of cockpit cover as well.

Thanks again.

I am pretty sure I test drove the boat you bought. I ended up buying one from NC and having it shipped up here. It's alot of work, not just the arch but all the railings, the helm, etc. Here's a picture of the boat without the arch.

Here's a picture of the controls removed.

Does anyone have experience with relocating their boat cross country?

I am currently considering relocating to the South Tampa Bay area from the Twin Cities and would need to have the boat transported. Are there any kind of marine moving companies out there that anyone could recommend? I am curious how much of a fortune this will cost.

Thanks.

Wow, small world. I guess I'll cross that bridge if/when I come to it..At least now I've got a decent idea of how much it will cost and what needs to be done.

Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the response-What kind of issues did (do)you have? It would be nice to know and be on the lookout for potential problems with my boat. Thanks !

Hi Mike,

I've had the E-Plex module for the underwater lights and the generator go out twice in the last couple of months. No explanation, really. Hopefully it will be fixed next week when I go back. Not looking forward to worrying about this when the boat's no longer under warranty...

Any problems with the E-Plex for you?

Kevin

Had the boat just over two years. No real problem in that time however in the past month I had to reset the main switch for the clock (computer) twice as the touch screen froze.

Anyone know what kind of mileage the gas version gets?

Thanks,

Kevin

I purchased a new 08 36 sedan bridge in Seattle in sept 09 and had it transported to Portland Oregon ( 175 miles). It cost me about $6000; The reason it was so expensive was that they had to take the top/arch off to go underneath overpasses . I know some of the 36 db's don't have arches ( because it is an option) so if you don't have one it may be cheaper. Also, do any of you who own a 36 db have problems getting FM and AM radio reception on your boats? I do and I was told there may be a problem with the radio antana ( SP?) set up on these boats

For $6,000, I would have taken a free cruise, if it's do-able.

Hey Royal Flush -

I had the same issue constantly and was having to re-boot the sysetm multiple times. They did finally determine the problem and it will be repaired.

The best description I can give you is that you need to open the floor hatch in the parlor (in front of the sliding door). If you step down in to the hatch with your back to the door, look straight ahead. There is a little box with lights and there is a plug (may be yellow) that you have to disconnect/reconnect. This will fix the issue.

Due to the fact that my boat is stored right now I cannot send a picture..Perhaps someone else in a warm weather state could take a picture and upload for you.

Fitzroy- How do you reset the computer when the touchscreen freezes? Royal Flush

I have a switch in the starboard cockpit cupboard This turns the power off to the clock/computer. All is then shut off wait for 60 seconds and switch on. This is different to reprogramming all modules from the station in the galley.

Has anyone had a sun pad made for their 36? I was thinking of one that goes over the hatch with some sort of support so it doesn't put pressure on the hatch.

Thanks,

Yes, I can get you some pix if you want. Had it custom made with a cutout for the topside Port with velcro insert.

Had this problem. Undo the black panel that holds it is - about nine screws if I remember. Disconnect both the data cable and the power cable and then put back the data cable and then the power. Wrote up a fix email for my dealer that I can send if you want.

Thanks timeinabottle, I would love to see some pictures.

Thanks also for the GPH numbers.
