310 Sundancer Thread (2007 & newer)

Anyone have a issue with their depth finder. I am told they don't make a replacement for the transducer. Any help appreciated.

Mine is intermittent... started two seasons ago. Mostly does not work... it will work sometimes for a half a day, after it sits in the slip for a couple of weeks. Have read that we need to check the connections first, and then if your prone to build up (I'm not in the lake), clean the outside surface off.

Does anyone know what spark plugs go on the 5.7L 350 mag horizon engines? part number and where to buy?

Thanks Guys

I am having the same issue with my depth sounder, the wire was chaffed where it was zip tied to the engine lift hook. I rewired it but i am still having issues. When the wrap comes off in March I am going to pull it out and see if i can find a replacement. I will re-post with updates.

Question - I have the 6.2's with V-Drive, anyone with the same setup? My top speed is 32 in glass conditions, i feel like it should be higher. Anyone have there top speeds they would like to share?

I have the same set up but only bought in October so I only ran it 2x
But I was cruising at 23 knots with best fuel economy.

What RPM are you hitting at that speed?

I'm in the same boat... To get up on plane and run nice I'm at 3900-4100 RPMs.... Just chalking it up to just being underpowered... Was thinking about cupping my props but not sure if it's going to help... And I don't think I've ever gotten 32knots... I'm more like 21 knots

32 ? I'm pretty sure he's tanking MpH
Not knots... I was getting 22/23 knots

Yes, 32mph @ 4800-4900 rpm, and i have the 6.2's they are 377's 320hp each, paired with v-drives,

i bit the bullet and bought a 1999 5HP 2 stroke mercury outboard for the new mercury 240 air floor dinghy. now does anyone have the owners manual or know where i can download it?

I don't have that motor but just bought the same dingy and plan to put a 5HP on it. Have you run it yet? How does it perform?

It's February in NY so no run yet...
It's rated for 4hp so 5 should be plenty.
I was told with 1 person and 3.5 it would plain.

More winter thinking...,, anyone add a water filter to the boat? Weather it be for just 1 sink or whole boat? Any thoughts besides inline on the hose when you fill tank or use city water.... Thanks...

I considered it... but the way I use my water is for flushing/showers/clean-up and would rather conserve it for those purposes. We sometimes sit on the hook for days at a time. The city water I fill with is fine for my use. I bring water for drinking.

If I did install filtering, it would be right out of the tank near the fresh water tank.

How do insert a photo?

Depends what kind of photo you are speaking of. If you just want to add pictures in yoru posts, the easiest way is to create a free photobucket (dot) com account and upload your posting pictures in there. Once they are in the photobucket account, photbucket gives you links that you can copy and paste directly into the compose box here. Use the IMG code link, and paste it direct. Should work.

You can also get the free photobucket app for your phone and/or tablet and load your photos directly into photobucket from there as you take them.

Here's a link to a previous post where I included photobucket instructions.

Now that you're a Silver Sponsor, to add pictures in a post, go the "go advanced" tab and then "manage attachments". There you can upload your pictures. You may have to reduce the resolution as there is a limit. I use MS Paint to do that.
