310 Sundancer Thread (2007 & newer)

I have only filled mine once since purchase but I have smart craft and up the display on the tank and could see precisely what level it was at.
The analog guage works as well

I don't have vessel view but I do have the digital gauges , the engines are push start buttons ? How do I turn on the acc power to the gauges or is it even possible ?

The moment you turn your key downstairs - your gauges should work. You don't need to turn engine ON for SmartCraft to work unless someone butchered your cabling.

When I turn my keys on in the cabin, the gauges and SmartCraft don't come on. The start switches have three positions... OFF, ON, and START. So if I push them to the ON position the electronics come on (actually just requires one switch but don't remember which).

I have two keys downstairs, they have two positions, OFF/ON when they are placed in the on position the dash goes live but the guages are not on, they only function when the engines are running.
The two buttons on the dash are to start the engines, they are push start so when the button is pushed on the dash it cranks automatically until it starts. I don't think they have an acc mode by pushing those buttons on the dash?

That's what I'm saying... my dash switches have the three positions. My keys, like yours, are either OFF or ON and nothing happens at the dash when they are ON. The keys simply enable the dash switches. Could be a difference in our year models.

hello all.looking for your dingy recomendations for my 07' 310....what are you carrying? size, model, and while we are at it how about motor make size?also how about mounts if your running with it on the platform.thanks

I am looking for greese fittings. The only ones i can find are at the bottom of the engine cover lift motors. I couldn't find any on the steering linkage. Does anyone know of fittings anywhere else on the boat?

Thanks in advance - Bryan.

I installed the sound shield on the Kohler and there is a big improvement but not enough. Next step would seem to be the dual stage muffler. The local Kohler tech who I have a lot of respect for contacted Centek and this is what he advises:

I spoke with Centex last week, they said they have a separationbox that would improve the reduction in noise emissions by approximately 8-10decibels. It would require introducing another hole in the hull just aboveor below the waterline (1-1/2"). This would essentially separate the exhaust gases from the discharge water. It is a little different from what theyare saying, however, the lift muffler and separator box will be a better systemfor your application according to the folks at Centex. What everyone is callingt he "dual stage" is similar and designed for "above" waterline applications, since you have a lift muffler, we would consider that to be a"below" waterline application.

Looking for input on this approach. I don’t want to put more holes in the boat but the noise level is still to loud. Thoughts?

Anyone here ever get replacement canvas from Great Lakes Boat Tops? How was the fit? Did it look just like origonal?

I've not needed any yet but I assume it would fit great... after all, that's where Sea Ray gets it.

I ordered this past spring for my 2008 330. Looked to be a factory equal. That being said, I wish the rear piece was a snugger fit and I'm having the 5 front pieces refitted with isenglas. Fyi-the pieces all come with the snaps uninstalled. You'll have to do that yourself.

/QUOTE]

If the fit isn't snug that is the fault of the installer, not the canvas.

I've gotten several pieces from GLBT (oops...). They are factory equivalent quality and color.

They sent me the front eisen glass instead of the aft curtain that I wanted. I noticed on the pieces that they sent me that the zippers across the top of the arch are white, i have black zippers. The black looks way better and the glass goes all the way to the zipper instead of stopping 3 to 4 inches from top like what I recieved from GLBT. The previous owner must have changed them when he replaced the glass. I also found out that because i have a 2008 their are to different arches. One looks like a 2007 earlier production and one looks like a 2009, later production and what I have. Not a big difference in the look but a big difference in the way the rear curtain wings attach to the arch. The aft curtain should not be loose, it should fit snug. It doesnt use snaps so there should be no room for installer error. Mine has the bungee pieces that fit over a knob. I will repost when I recive the correct pieces. The reason we replaced it is because we needed new glass, zippers, velcro, and bungee's. GLBT was having a sale and it was only $100 more to replace than to repair. Anyone with a 2008 should be aware of production change during production year, I dont know what else might be different.

On another note, does anyone have any idea where there are any greese fittings in the engine room besides the hatch lift cyliders?

hello everyone… need help narrowing down a dinghy/motor combo
please tell me what you have - looking for 2005-2009 310 DA owners in particular
please let me know brand and size of dinghy
brand and size of motor
how you store/mount it while underway
thanks- the faster the better because I'm going to NYboat show tomorrow.

anyone out there that carry there dinghy outboard in rear most seat storage or the aft facing transom seat compartment?
what size/brand motor? I'm looking into a 3.5 or 4hp mercury but i cannot access the boat in winter so looking for some help.
i cannot find anywhere online what the dimensions of the outboards are.. thanks

Tiric, what I did was remove the Aft Facing Seat and was able to store a 3.5 OB in there with spare fenders and such. There isn't enough room in there for a Dink. You've got plenty of room for the outboard.

bugsy24 - thanks, would the motor fit under the seat forward of the "aft facing seat compartment."
i mean the seat that is facing forward by table. ?

I think it would be tight, you have the Brackets that hold the table poles and that's where the table top itself goes!

thanks… the PO removed the aft facing seat and the wife really liked the idea … but searching for a replacement has been exhausting and i think i have convinced her we don't need it and if i can fit an outboard for the new dinghy that would be good. now I'm toying with what size to get… its a mercury airfloor 240 …deciding weather to get mercury 3.5, 4, 5, or 6 hp…. the 3.5 is nice because its small and light… but i worry its gonna be very slow…
