300 Sundancer questions.

Hi Sea Ray Family,

We are selling our 2019 Like New 2002/2003 Sea Ray SD 300 (1)Bimini Top (Fabric Only) (1)Sun Shade (Fabric Only)

Installed in May of 2019 in the New York Area (Short Season) We decided to buy a Camper Canvas to replace our Aft
fastback, so it made sense to buy all new canvases for our boat as our glass forward and Aft was original. This turned
out to be a 7K adventure, but the cost of boat ownership of course. They are in like-new condition, so if anyone is interested we are trying to sell them $1000 for both. Picture and quote attached from Great Lakes.

Thanks,
Bob

Does anyone know the size of the zincs that go on the trim tabs? I was hoping to order them w/o having to go and measure the ones on the boat now.

I'm sorry- I went through the owners manual twice and can't find it ..would probably be standard Bravo 3 zincs

Ok thanks, I did get 2 of the full BIII kits but they are selling the trim tab ones separately.

From the pics I have they look to be 2-3"

I did get the BIII kits from BoatZincs (for the 2004+). It says there are (2) trim tab anodes but those look like the ones that go under the cavitation plate of the outdrive. I'm not at the boat but looking at my older pics I can see round ones on the trim tabs.

In manual the zinc part # is 1410589
Description is Trim tab Zinc only. ZINC3
I can screen shot from manual if you need..I've a 2005 300 Sundancer

You don’t need the specific Sea Ray part. They are just a standard 3 inch rudder zinc. You can get them at any marine store. They’re sold as a pair to go either side of a rudder so You’ll need an extra bolt.

Do we have a separate 300DA thread for things other than questions?

I was planning to do a bunch of things to the boat this summer, and I'm wondering if here would be the place to post write-ups, pictures etc in case it helps others in the future?

I would say that this thread is the perfect place to post them so we can learn.

I'm somewhat surprised that my 300 has most of the options that were available at the time, but still has the 5.0s

I feel somewhat inadequate

I haven't had a ton of people out yet but I'm hoping I can still get on plane with say 4 adults and 4 kids.

Mine is the same, fully optioned but with 5.0s. She’ll struggle getting up onto the plane with more than 4 seated in the cockpit but if you have a couple up on deck the 5.0s do it fine. The secret with these is to overcome the aft heavy weight balance, it’s amazing how much difference it makes when you have 2 or 3 up on the bow! I’m adding 130lbs of chain to the anchor today not just for better anchor holding.

2 or 3 on the bow while getting up on plane or while running on plane?
