Oh, and BTW, if your name appears on POST #1 you can call in and reserve your slip with a credit card. Remember, you ain't got no slip unless you call personally and reserve it with a credit card. If I have not submitted your info to the dockmaster, they will not book you as part of the group and you will not receive the discount. Sorry, their rules, not mine!

Step #2 Wait for Ron to add you to page 1 of this post
Step #3 Call the marina with your credit card number to reserve your spot-no CC = NO SLIP
Step #4 Figure out what food and what dessert you are bringing for the Table of the Gods

Just spoke to Dockmaster Clyde over at Farley. The credit card #s are trickling in and they are looking forward to our arrival. Remember... you have to call and reserve your slip with a credit card - being on my list and my submitting your name is necessary for you to get the group discount but NOT ENOUGH to reserve your slip.

Clyde also told me that FAKEFEST 2014 will be held that same weekend at the hotel. I couldn't find any info on the GN website so this may be some insider info. Here's the lineup from last year's event, which looks a lot like the 2011 lineup (our rendezvous was there during Fakefest in 2011). This event probably won't have much impact on transient slips but anytime there's an event there are usually more boats staying over.

Also of note: boats that are 40' and above are typically placed on F-dock. Just be aware that MOST electric hookups on F dock are 50 amp. If your boat requires 30 amp beg/steal/borrow a Y connector OR request to be placed on H dock.

Ron,
Mike and I fueled up while on the way home from Norfolk yesterday in AC .
I spoke with the manager about this event and he said they would offer fuel discounts to the participants.
I will send you his contact info, I gave him your name.

He put me in the computer and gave me a 3% discount.

I spoke to Farley today - reservations made, all set. Now we just have to figure out the food for the table. I hope I don't have to make those damn grapes again........

I have to go to an industry conference next week.

When I get back, we can start generating some excitement and start getting the plans together for the scavenger hunt, Table of the Gods, ferris wheel, the $10,000 give-away, the free trip to Las Vegas on a private jet, the lottery to win a home in the Hamptons, a ride to the International Space Station, T-shirts, free fuel for everyone who shows up, and whatever other inducements we have for folks to attend.
