2nd Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvous -Farley State Marina, Atlantic City

Grey Goose for my host! Something less for the "flavored drinks".

Ok people...

Hear Ye

We are about a month away, so it's time to dust off the one spreadsheet (insert smart a$$ comments here) we have been using for the past several years and update the names and other info.

If you are going to attend this shindig, there are a couple of things that are expected of you:

1. That you will check in with Dr. Ron, the Cruise Director, so that he can get your name on the list on Page 1 of this thread. If you are not there, you are not on the Official List (exceptions will be made for rich, millionaires who want to attend)
2. That you will not show up empty-handed. We have a food thing going on Friday night and everyone brings a covered dish and a dessert. (there are no exceptions for rich, millionaires-if this is you, bring extra so the guys in the 25 footers don't need to bring as much)
3. That you will provide an accurate head count, with the names of those folks, to the Cruise Director. This info will not be shared-it is used to order T-shirts and to prepare credentials/name tags
4. That you will call the marina and make your own reservation and secure that reservation with a credit card

We are not having any Pirate Treasure hunts, we are not renting an island, you do not have to anchor out rafted to someone you do not know who wants to party all night (although if "X" man shows up, we can start a party raft with him at the center), we are all eating dinner together one night (Friday), there are no organized activities, no shopping tours, or trips to the spa planned.

This is a casual get-together with socializing on the docks where you are free to interact with the others as you see fit. Ron's title as Cruise Director expires as soon as he leaves his slip headed for Atlantic City so he is not going to be directing anything once he gets to AC except the free T-shirt giveaway.

Please also note that Mistercomputerman Rick is a CO-CRUISE DIRECTOR and has as much to do with this thing as I do (probably more). So you can harass him if you are having any trouble reaching me.

Rick forgot to mention that there will be live music provided on Friday Evening by a couple of hack musicians from CSR; so that might be construed as an organized activity.

We've got a great turnout so far and everything has been going very smoothly. I am also in contact with Ken Gerb several times daily collecting information on the boats and people attending from his group, which are the people from Dom's old 'hood. His help has been a life saver. The more people that attend, the more help we need...all we ask of the attendees is to have a safe trip, show up, don't come empty handed and have a great time. Oh, and let's pray for good weather!

Thanks Rod. Man I've got a bunch of food to enter on post #1

Re: 2nd Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvous -Farley State Marina, Atlantic

We've got "offerings" from 17 of 39 parties attending. Not terrible. Please, no more pulled pork or sausage & peppers, even though you KNOW your's is better than the other guys' ;-)

I didn't see one pasta salad!

Re: 2nd Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvous -Farley State Marina, Atlantic

Well there we go. Tim, putting you two down for PASTA SALAD!

WE ALSO NEED UTENSILS - Forks, knives, spoons (or maybe a box of sporks). Plastic cups and napkins. I'll bring some large trashbags so no need to worry about that. Anyone want to take responsibility for these staples??

Re: 2nd Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvous -Farley State Marina, Atlantic

Can I do meatballs or are they a Yankee thing?

Re: 2nd Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvous -Farley State Marina, Atlantic

I beat you to the meatballs, by something like 19 minutes......

Dale

Re: 2nd Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvous -Farley State Marina, Atlantic

Meatballs are taken. Sorry!

Re: 2nd Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvous -Farley State Marina, Atlantic

I may have to ship some ribs out there since it looks like I can't make it. Probably not in the cards this year, not much time off left and I have plans to use it ALL already. Now if there is a Sea Ray Homecoming....

Re: 2nd Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvous -Farley State Marina, Atlantic

Well, then I want to do painted grapes...

Re: 2nd Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvous -Farley State Marina, Atlantic

Can't you do some southern delicacy - like squirrel feet or snake fritters?

Re: 2nd Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvous -Farley State Marina, Atlantic

I was gonna do Possum Balls until Dale got in the way. Let me see what I can come up with that you Yanks will eat...

Re: 2nd Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvous -Farley State Marina, Atlantic

Those are great but you really need to inject some marinade into them to keep them nice and moist. They shrivel up and get dry otherwise...
