2023 Splash!

Back in the water! I have a dry bilge a quiet outdrive that shifts like butter and a bunch of upgrades. I am extremely grateful for all the help here on CSR. If yall are ever out in Las Vegas cocktails are on me.

-100 RPM off WOT?? Most be a lot of beer in that fridge!!!

One way to solve that!!!

Finally in. Lastest I have been in as since I started. Took her out for a quick shake down before heading to slip. All ran well. New fox marine gateways are the bomb. I am a bit rusty as far as close quarters maneuvering -- damn near put her on the rocks, and two tries to get into slip. Heading back up with the admiral tomorrow to start the weekend. :)

Phew, what a day! I spent the morning looking at a 1966 Mustang with @Ididntdoit. We met, had a coffee, then looked at and drove this nice little modded Mustang with my son.

Mike told me about this car and was invaluable in helping me check it out. Sadly the owner and I was too far apart on the price so I don’t think it’s going to work.

After taking the ferry home from CT, my boat got splashed and is now back in her slip! Just in time for the long weekend.

Everything fired up like it should and she went in her slip nice and easy. In past years the yard would tow her to he slip. This year it’s user new management and the guys were nervous (petrified?) of scratching my hull after the paint had just been repaired. So I guided her in myself.

I did have one hiccup. My aft thruster threw a “no connection” warning. Knowing I had mucked around under the dash all winter, I quickly reseated all the network cable connections and problem solved. Yay!

I thought this last pic was interesting. I have a Siren Marine system, and it shows a track line from my winter spot in the yard over the the ramp and then to the slip. Seems very accurate! Although I did not go though the other boats.

I was supposed to launch on 5/12, because of ice that was rescheduled to 5/26. I spent some time in the emergency room on 5/24, that caused me to miss 5/26 launch. There was an opening for launch on 6/2 so I told them to put me on the schedule. A couple days later I remembered I had a Dr appointment on 6/2 so I change that to 6/5.

The Dr wasn't impressed that I changed my appointment in order to get my boat launched...but I'm in as of 6/2.:)
