Got up Monday morning to find the boat was covered in ice. Hooked up the water hose and melted the ice off. Then got the holding tank pumped. My boat gets hauled up the state hwy about a mile, wouldn't you know...a pissy state cop pulled my boat over because it wasn't set up properly for wide load on the hwy. Now they've got to rig up the marina yard trailer with flags, lights, and have the signage on the ass of the boat.
Hauling big boats on the hwy is nothing new here, been going on forever. This part of the road even has a passing lane, lots of room.
Anyway, it's in the shed now, this seasons over.
My boat storage place was putting up another building. They have the site ready, floor is done, they already had enough new customers lined up to fill it, just waiting for the building. It was scheduled to arrive in early August but now is pushed back to January, too late for this storage season. Apparently getting the steel is the holdup. At this point the owner says he hopes the building gets up before next fall.
