2016-17 Football thread - any team banter welcome.

Wow! What a fall from grace for the 49ers! I really hope Kaeperdumb goes to the Broncos or somewhere. It's going to take time (and maybe a new owner) to get them back on track. That sucks, but we do have Trump taking over the Republican Party so you never know?

Only one once in a lifetime event can happen at once. Elway said they are out, You are stuck with Kaperdink...

Panthers pick was predictable. Gettlemen believes success comes from winning at the line of scrimmage. We need to go CB in the second round.

Yeah, WTH are they thinking? Maybe he will suddenly learn to read defenses under Chip? I hope he proves me wrong but there are many holes to fill.

Here is the initial over/under from Vegas. Colts are about where I expect them to be as are most teams. But no love is being given to the Super Bowl Champion Broncos.

Panthers 10.5 (over -130)

Packers 10.5 (over -165)

Patriots 10.5 (over -150)

Steelers 10.5

Seahawks 10.5

Cardinals 9.5 (over -160)

Bengals 9.5 (over -140)

Cowboys 9.5

Colts 9.5

Chiefs 9.5 (over -130)

Vikings 9.5 (over -130)

Broncos 9

Ravens 8.5

Texans 8.5 (over -135)

Raiders 8.5

Bills 8

Jets 8

Giants 8 (over -160)

Falcons 7.5

Bears 7.5

Jaguars 7.5 (over -150)

Rams 7.5

Buccaneers 7.5

Redskins 7.5

Lions 7.5 (over -130)

Dolphins 7

Saints 7

Eagles 7

Chargers 7

49ers 5.5

Titans 5.5 (over -160)

Browns 4.5 (over -130)

I love how low they place the 49ers! One team with a lower number. Lowered expectations may be a good thing this year. Expect nothing and maybe they surprise? 5 wins would be a positive and that is a brutal reality for this once proud franchise.

"A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools".

This is absolutely hilarious!

Hahahahahah, okay. I am old fashioned in that I am a baseball enthusiast. It is a beautiful game when played right! And yes, I am a Barry Bonds fan. Let them do what they want to their bodies (administered by doctors) and make the game like it was when people were hitting 50+ homers a year. I have also seen a few no hitters in person (Giant's staff is pretty damn good the last 10 years), and I was riveted to every pitch! Let's go Giant's.

Big thanks to Golden States win over Okiehoma Sonics hope they go all the way ( never thought I'd be a fan of a Bay area team ) there's some real talent on that team.

Another big surprise it's early but the Mariners look like a real contender this year maybe we'll have another Bay area match up coming in the future.

GO WARRIORS !!!!!!

Oh yah my son sent me a text last night he lives about 2 miles from the Seahawks training facility he ran into Bobby Wagner at a gas station guess most of the defense is in early training from what he said.

I'm still getting over the "Shank Left" loss to the Sea Chickens:smt021

I see that the officials still do not call Seattle for pass interference or holding.

Well, if I had some skin in the game I would follow this. 49ers suck and Giants are done. Go Warriors!

Yup, Richard Sherman got away with a big one yesterday. Had that pass been completed we would have lost the game. He had his body between the receiver and the referee and I think that blocked the ref's view of what was going on. I'll take the win no matter how we get it.

5-1 start on the season. Go Seahawks!!!

I'm hoarse today from screaming so much yesterday... Go Hawks !!

well Pittsburgh should just stay home this week. playing the Pats is hard enough. playing them without Ben is going to be disastrous. just hope he is only out the one game

TB12 got off to a bit of a slow start for his first home game..... but adjustments at half-time.... along with the beast (Gronk).... and
events went according to plan..... all I can say is watch out NFL......
Tom does not play well with others when he has vengeance on his mind.....
