If you had 4 picks how many would have selected the Broncos last preseason to win the SB? They would not have made my top 4, I wasn't even sure they would win their division, and most of you didn't think they could win the SB last week.

So as it stands this week, name your 4 most likely to be in the SB.

1. Baltimore Ravens

2. New England Patriots

3. Detroit Lions

4. Green Bay Packers

Too many "What If's" hanging out there for me to make any predictions at this point.

I know one team I'd like to see in the SB.

It's a little early for me to start thinking about football. I've been working nearly every Saturday since July and watching 2 games (Seahawks and Saints) almost every Sunday through the season. I really want to finish the Cobalt. Russell has his own mini-camp in Hawaii in Like June of July. I think I'll at least wait until then.

wow...that was fast:smt101

its early buuuttttttt

1) Steelers
2) Patriots
3) Seahawks
4) Vikings

i was thinking Cards for #4 but wanted an NFC team (2 of each) and didn't want to pick the top 4 in the ranking....

Those odds are generous for the Bengals. They have 15 free agents (14 unrestricted), most of them starters or significant contributors. The upside of all of those free agents is 38M available under the cap.

A SWAG for next year's superbowl I would have to go with Patriots, and Steelers in the AFC and Seahawks, Cardinals, and Vikings in the NFC

I'm ready for pre-season to start. With some cap money available & free agency the Seahawks are in good shape this year compared to last..

I did pick Denver over Carolina in the SB 24-21, sure didn't expect Denver to be in the SB.

It's going to be interesting to see where all the free agents end up there's some pro bowl players looking for some big bucks.

AFC
Patriots
Steelers

NFC
Seahawks
Vikings

Super Bowl
Seahawks over Patriots

GO HAWKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why do we need a thread for these?

Love it, I did think of the "pitchers" as you did but the "catchers" we're not on the tip of my mind...

Until Ken's post I did not realize the boys of summer were relevant to anyone in today's fast paced world.

They're not, even though they like to think they are. Wasn't it Hillary who said "Who Cares About Baseball?" Oh, wait, that was "Who Cares About Benghazi?" Sorry, my bad.

This is a brand new thread for the upcoming season. We closed last seasons thread...

However if you want to revisit the fun here are the season archives.

Crap! You got me on that one. I thought this was the old 15/16 thread. A little early to start a 16/17 football thread for me, I'm out! It's Warriors and Giants for the next 8 months or so!

Hahahahahah, okay. I am old fashioned in that I am a baseball enthusiast. It is a beautiful game when played right! And yes, I am a Barry Bonds fan. Let them do what they want to their bodies (administered by doctors) and make the game like it was when people were hitting 50+ homers a year. I have also seen a few no hitters in person (Giant's staff is pretty damn good the last 10 years), and I was riveted to every pitch! Let's go Giant's.

We were Mariner season ticket holders from 1991 to 2010 row 3 right behind 3rd base we were in row 2 till Safeco Field was built they moved everyone back a row when it was built unless you paid a premium seating price for row 1 & 2. We gave up the tickets after 5 years of mediocre players couldn't even give away 4 tickets. The Mariners had some good years just not good enough, win 122 regular season games and fall apart in the playoffs. Watched a lot of good players use them as a training camp Rodriguez, Griffey, Randy Johnson after Lou Piniella left so did the fans. Owners think if you put a team on the field fans will come, when will they learn I think attendance last year was around 20,000.

We watched Randy Johnson throw his first no hitter, Griffey Jr & Sr hit home runs in the same game.

Wish we had a decent baseball & basketball team to watch, hope Oklahoma goes bankrupt.

Unlike our piece of sh!t departed football team, our baseball team is in the post season almost every year. Keeps things interesting and relevent. Because of their success, the Cardinals are much hated in other cities. But 3 million people a year can't be wrong. Good owners make things better. So long Kronke, you toupee wearing piece of crap.

My dad died in 2009. My strongest memories of him revolve around baseball...listening to games with him while he barbequed dinner on Saturdays when I was young. Later in life watching games on Saturdays in our lake condo while I cooked dinner on Saturdays. Those times along with the two NFC Championship games we witness in person (When we sitll had a decent owner) will forever keep my dad alive in my memories.
