2012 190

What model of smart tabs did you get, thinking about putting them on next year.

Yes. Talked to the folks at Nauticus to decide upon the size, they answered my questions about install, and then I watched their install video about 20 times before I got started. It took about an hour, start-to-finish, at a relaxed pace. No regrets!

Anybody else storing their boat (covered) outdoors this winter? I've got water seeping thru the OEM mooring cover, soaking the sunpad cushions and water is getting trapped on the starboard transom walk-thru. I've got it tented, but there's a lot of contact with the cover and the sunpad, which is evidently the problem. The cushions have some type of 'mildicide' or mold inhibitor, I assume?

Is it time to bump the 190 thread?

Installed a waterski rack today...

No more need for peeople (and the dog) to play musical chairs so that I can get to the floor locker!

almost time to get back on the water so back into the forum for ideas etc. Thanks NorCalGlenn for the trim tab suggestion, just ordered them....any problems with cracks on them etc? Here is my monster tower. still looking for affordable speakers for it.boat1.jpg

Hey, love your color and graphic combo! I've had no issues with cracking, and that was with 80 hours in my first summer. Somewhere on here Dave gave some great advice on installing them that you might want to search for. He always has great advice...

Hey Glenn, nice article and pics in the Sea Ray Living I got today. You're a star now.

Thanks! Haven't received my copy yet, but got wind of the new issue being out a few hours ago. My niece and her buddy will be very excited...they actually did the story last July.

You'll love page 37 - will end up framed I bet. And Hana will love page 34. Glad to see someone still slaloms. I was addicted to it way back in the early '80s in my early 20's (probably long before you were born). And I still have my ski - and its also an EP (very vintage).

Bill, I'm 46 ... which is why I had to get a swivel rack for the wakeboards and a ski rack so I wouldn't have to dig through the locker anymore. "Ohhhh, my achin' back!" LOL I ski on a 1976 EP (older brother's) and a 1984 Jobe (mine). Prefer the old EP!

Can anyone suggest a good boat cover for my Searay 190 Sport? I've been looking for something for a while, was hoping someone has bought one and can pass along any comments.

Thanks,

Topshelf

anyone have problems with their depth sounder? Mine worked great and now its intermittent. power is fine and can get water and outside temp no problem.....just dashes now for depth last two times out with an occasional depth reading.

I get the double-dash on the depth finder on occassion, bit it's never for an entire day (outing). It comes and goes, and my gut tells me it's when I'm in areas where the depth is changing rapidly up and down - that it can't really keep up.

If you guys have the through hull xducer, it most likely is not getting good returns due to the fact it is not a tilted element. The element doesn't send the signal strait down so its return is diminished. Mine did that in and out too. I also had a loose crimp in the power wire causing a drop in voltage. After the repair it still didnt work very well.
