2008 Jul 18th-Aug 3rd Seattle/San Juan Island/BC Gulf REDZVS

That would be convenient because you'd have the written itinerary right on your shirt! You'd know where you're headed next and where you've been that way. I like it! The following year, we could just swap shirts!

Should we print it upside down then so we can read it?. We do have to consider the iboatNW guys too and add them CSR/iBoatNW:thumbsup:

Another great idea! It would be like the B******D T-shirts on the back printed upside down: If you can read this pull me back in the boat! It might be kind of a fun thing.

Ok I think between Doug and I we should be the lead's on the running North tour.

Who want's to take the reigns on the Southern tour? What I'd really like to see is the entire group stay together from Friday Afternoon July 18 until midday Sunday the 20th of July then regroup Friday Aug 1st.

Does anyone see and issue with that?

Once we get closer to what we want on the tee's, I'll check prices from vendors my school uses. I would think vendors that service schools would be economical? Anyone else know of a good source would be great to get some comparison prices too.

So the designs ideas should start to flow... Colors of the shirts, etc. Give it your best shot! Once we have a few designs, we can do a poll and vote for our best?

Can you believe we have over 220 posts on this one subject???

I'm asking the people we used to do the embroidery on the Sweatshirts for us, for sure what pricing they need.
I'm sure it would be good. And I'll let everyone know.

BTW Doug> Mo and I are in for the boat show(I posted on IBNW>Com)

I'm sure someone who's been there will jump in to lead the Southern attack. If not, we'll just pillage and plunder our way through the islands! I'm looking forward to meeting the gang and I'm sure both groups will hang together until Sunday. I'd like to regroup back on Aug 1, but may have to pull out that day. I'll know more as we approach that date.

I am with Sundancer as to possibly needing to get off the water on the 1st. That would give us a little time to clean up the boat before we head on our 2-day treck home. With that said, however, we can be flexible by a day, if need be.

Todd, did you by chance keep track as to who's planning on going on which route? That would be helpful with the overall trip and route organization.

GG

No I don't think we started a formal list since the idea of two tours was raised.

So, Let's get a head count.

Who's Going North ?

Who's Going South ?

Todd,
Since there haven't been many (any?) responses and posts to this thread by some of the orginal participants, what are the odds that some may have "lost" the connection to this thread? I know that I myself was "AWOL" for a while after the list moved servers (which severed all reply notifications). Would it make sense for you to contact the original participants as to their current plans to join this trip?

Yes I'll have to comb through the list we previsously had somewhere on the upper pages and ping everyone.

Just Wrong for Just Right:

Nephew announced his engagement at Christmas and she said maybe a July or August wedding. Wouldn't you know it: the just set the date for July 26, 2008 in Southern, CA.

We'll be whining about it, but I don't think they will change things for us. Instead we'll just drool over your trip reports and plan ahead for 2009.

Maybe we can set up an SF Bay/Sac Delta cruise for June...

'Til then,

'Til then,

Come on up, catch a flight to Sacto or the closest airport the day of the the wedding and then return to Seattle later that day? We'll watch your boat! :)

These things happen, but there is always 2009 or you could just catch the second week after the group has pulled out and spend that week alone? Your call! There are options. Take the loaded boat and truck to the wedding and head on up as soon as it's over! You can catch up with us on Monday the 28th!

Blaine,
Just give them your dates.......and hopefully they'll avoid them.
I hope you make it. If you don't come up for those dates, some of us will still be here that can head out one weekend and show you around then set you loose for the week and meet back up the following weekend.
Anyway I hope it works out.

Just a thought... Todd and or I will be bringing a LCD projector for dockside movies during the trip... It will keep the kiddies tied up a bit and adults a bit freer too. Since I no longer have any of those 3 ft wonders, my PG 13 DVD list is a bit short. So anyone coming, bring the DVD's with the kids. I'm sure we can have adult shoot em ups as well...

One other thing for those bringing kids, buy/bring a small mesh fish net for them to check out the local critters.. we have lots of spotted shrimp near the docks as well as star fish and other creatures...

Mighty Mo has them (nets) on the list for us to see if the boat show will have them. We're due for replacements
