I like to refer to the 480MY as the really big shoe. There are a couple of them in our club and even though the look is different, the amount of room in that boat is amazing for a 48' boat.

You definitely have THE MOST ambitious journey. Car, plane and a boat - land, sea and air all covered. And no one can touch your distance traveled. I'd say you have the prize locked. Unless the dude from New Zealand makes the trip!

I can't wait to see the 48MY at AC... I like the boat, but my wife has not warmed up to the design... She likes the older AC look... I think the 48 MY would make a very nice Great Loop Sea Ray... I got my money on Ron having a new boat by then...

Finally got a human at Farley today. The marina has still have not gotten approval on the "forms" for transient slip reservations. I think it's easier to get approved for a heart transplant at a VA hospital. They did acknowledge that we have a block of slips reserved for that weekend.

Does it count if I'm flying the flight from Hong Kong the day before then taking our boat down to AC? We are looking forward to the rendezvous this year with hopefully a new boat! Our 240 is up for sale as is and we are in the market for a 340. Carter (Dom's "One Sweet Day" new owner) has a nice one we are looking at in Atlanta and hoping to get down there soon to see it!

Then you need to look at the 340 that will be taking me for my first trip in the Atlantic. The fantastic boat owned by Masterfab is most likely the most meticulous boat (especially of that age) on the water today. I say that without seeing it in person yet but from Dale's blog pictures and the craftsmanship he has added to this boat, I would buy it in a second if I were looking for a 340DA.

Of course, you will have to wait until after this event to buy it!

BTW, it doesn't count that you are on a trip home.
