Hard to believe but this is our 5th trip with the group. And this year, we're returning to Atlantic City. We have a new name, in honor of our good friend Dominic. It's going to be very weird planning this trip without Dom's help and input (and a little bit of "leaning" on the people at Farley!!) We want to make this the best rendezvous ever and are looking forward to even better attendance than last year's event at Liberty Landing Marina.

Date:
Friday, July 26, 2013 - Sunday July 28, 2013
Place Farley State Marina, Golden Nugget Casino Hotel, Atlantic City, NJ
Website and Info:
Farley State Marina
Dock Layout: DOCKS

I spoke with Clyde today and reserved a block of slips. Great guy to deal with. He said he's glad we are planning this early - makes his life much easier. They are prepared for 20-30 boats (+/-)with sizes ranging from 25-60'. Rick (aka: mistercomputerman) and myself will be co-cruise directors - since he does most of the work I figured I need to give him a title or he'll start asking for more money or worse yet, health insurance.

As is the norm, I'll take PMs with boat name, length, beam, electrical requirements and captain name as I have to prepare a manifest for Farley State Marina. If you are boatless (like me), please still consider attending and get a room in the hotel. We are going to have a few people who will come by land and air as well as by sea.

Don't worry about committing - you can cancel up to 48 hours before the arrival date. Not sure if the general rules remain the same but if they do, each of you will have to call individually with your credit card info. I'll let you all know how that works once I get the registration packet from the marina.

If you are unfamiliar with the format, we arrive at or around noon on Friday and start setting up for the "Table of the Gods" Friday evening. Most bring a finger-type food and a dessert but some will bring paper goods (cups, plates) and/or plastic silverware, trashbags, etc, which are very necessary items as well. This will all be pre-arranged. If you need some guidance, you can read up, look at the pix and videos contained in these threads...

AC 2011
LLM 2012

1. We get a 15% discount on the slip rate - comes to $2.55/ft/day. Includes water, CATV, wireless internet (internet was a separate charge last time). Electricity is $5/day per 30amp cord or $15/day per 50amp cord
2. Check-in is 1pm. Hail on Channel 65 when you arrive. If you get there earlier and they have a spot, they will accommodate.
3. CAN
CELLATION: we can cancel the entire Rendezvous as long as we provide 14 days notice.
Each attendee may cancel with 48 hours notice. Without 48 hours notice, you will be charged for one night's slip fee

4. By their rule, I have to submit the boat info to them and then you follow up with you credit card info to reserve the slip. If you don't call with your credit card, you will not have a reserved slip.

This post (#1) will grow as the information from each attendee trickles in and updates are posted to this thread. Let the countdown begin!

I can tell Rick is involved - You spelled Rendezvous incorrectly.

But, even so, Tina and I wouldn't miss Dominic's gig. It even has a countdown clock! I'll send a PM with the boat info, Ron.

Re: 1st Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvou - Farley State Marina, Atlantic

Hmmmmm, never been to Atlantic City...

Re: 1st Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvou - Farley State Marina, Atlantic

we'll be there with critter turds, mudslides, cigars in memory of Dom... and in memory of Pig Dog, i'll pee on Gary's boat. (feel free to take pics). I will not be bringing Lobster. If you've never been to a CSR... however you spell it, then you need to come. It's a great meeting and sharing and making new friends experience. There will be people coming from LI, CT, NY and as far south as VA. If you feel safer traveling with a group, shout out and i'm sure there's someone to tag along with. It's a Ton of fun (as seen in SLR magazine... even though I never got my copy)

Re: 1st Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvou - Farley State Marina, Atlantic

Can we move the date?

Re: 1st Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvou - Farley State Marina, Atlantic

You spelled Rendezvous incorrectly

That's the French spelling you idiot (said in a Peter Sellers voice) ;-)

Can we move the date?

I expected you to request a change of venue.

Re: 1st Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvou - Farley State Marina, Atlantic

NANSEA is in... I still have sodas and beer left that Dom gaves us last time we were in AC... We should include his Bayville guys this year, some even have Sea Rays... BTW, I get a 20% discount through Marina Life, which brings the price down to $2.25 per foot, as a group we should ask for the Marina Life price...

Thanks for stepping up to lead our rag tap group.... Your family is welcome to ride down with us...

Re: 1st Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvou - Farley State Marina, Atlantic

Thanks Rod! If I don't have a boat by then, we'll probably drive down or bum a ride with a Green Cove'r. Bob knows about it as does Marion from Dom's HOA. Remind me to ask about that discount at some point. I don't know the rates - haven't rec'd the registration packet yet.

Should I put you down for "skunky beer and flat soda?"

Re: 1st Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvou - Farley State Marina, Atlantic

Dominic Annunziata Memorial Nightout........ I am so much wanting to attend the first annual D.A.M.N. There is no doubt you guys are going to have a D.A.M.N. good time and for a really D.A.M.N. good cause...

Dom is laughing so hard right now, his dome is turning red and the 4 inch long ash just fell from his stogie to the cockpit floor, he looks up with that smile while laughing and says DAMN it Rusty......memories are worth a million bucks!

Miss ya Brother!

R

That beer and soda was caught in the Sandy flood in my garage... I keep it because it was given to me by a special guy, and if anyone is daring engough to drink it, I require a toast to Domonic... I am looking forward to a D.A.M.N. good time....

Re: 1st Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvou - Farley State Marina, Atlantic

Rusty, can you do something about Ron's boatless situation? maybe a new 51DA? something like that.

Re: 1st Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvous -Farley State Marina, Atlantic

Rod, good point. Putting you down for skunky beer and flat soda! Not lobster.

Re: 1st Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvous -Farley State Marina, Atlantic

We are opening a new store/service facility in Somers Point this year. I'll definitely make it a point to swing through for the Rendezvous!

Re: 1st Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvous -Farley State Marina, Atlantic

Cordially invited Jim.

And thanks for adding the "S"!!

You know Ann Marie and I are in!!

Re: 1st Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvous -Farley State Marina, Atlantic

If you ever get your boat fixed ;-)

Re: 1st Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvous -Farley State Marina, Atlantic

Damn, the "S" is there - now I can't give Rick a hard time.....

Maybe I can start giving Rusty a hard time......

Dale

Re: 1st Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvous -Farley State Marina, Atlantic

It was always there. It was a silent S (ie: it was written in a white font). An old trick taught to me by a friend ;-)

Re: 1st Annual Dominic Annunziata Memorial Rendezvous -Farley State Marina, Atlantic

Mike....you know we have one here for him. Ron will even tell you the Pres told him to just name his price. He walked away and Ron and I said...huhhhhh?? We both started looking for pop bottles to cash in.

What the good doctor really isn't telling you, is the whole plan of him flying down here and picking his new one up, so he and I can cruise on up to AC for a D.A.M.N. adventure (....and you hear the gas slowly being turned off and a sweet nurse saying, wakeup boy, wake up rusty..uh, what?)

Sorry Doc!
