getting there..

Great project and very nice cosmetic improvements. You probably figured this our already but if not, consider through bolting the locker door hardware. SR did a bad job of securing hardware holding the doors to framing. We are on Lake Michigan and our forward locker doors all fell off because they could not handle to stress of running in normal Lake Michigan seas. The 370 Express we owned was virtually the same in build design. We had a TV in the berth that took a beating when running. Your boat probably has a better design although the 370 slide out TV design did not work in seas. So if you have that, it needs a new look.

I hear you on the fastening for some Sea Rays. Back in the 80's I ran a SR 260sxl and was constantly picking up screws after trips, granted I was using it offshore which it wasnt intended for. Not sure how the 90's SR would fare, but the hinges are still just screwed to the frame. Bolts are an easy fix if its a problem, so we'll see. This will be used as a cocktail cruiser for the most part.

i was able to locate some small stainless machine screws that held the locker door hinges in place and that fixed the problem. Use a magic marker to color the heads so they did not stand out.

Finishing up staining the remaining trim to match the wrap.

Reinstalled original electric cooktop so I didnt require any stainless fabrication.

I also stained the dinette table. Working on the cabin sole now. Im waiting on the 4x8 sheet of unfinished stainable tambour material to arrive, its on backorder. The original tambour doors would sand, would just flake apart.

My project has been on hold waiting on back ordered and limited supply items. Plus the weather has not been warm enough long enough to work with any type of glue or adhesive. Hoping to get fired up in the coming weeks.

Zool, your project is looking great!!!

Today i measured out the floor pattern, then removed the hatches to cover them 1st. Then I can work out from them in each direction, terminating at the carpet edges.

Tomorrow Ill do some test fitting and start the install.

Zool, Nice work as always. I to plan on some upholstery and interior upgrade to our 310 Dancer but felt it best start with the mechanical first.

Question how did you apply the water/bleach mixture to hull liner? On the other boat my wife sprayed some spots and the over spay spotted my newly covered cusions.

Our 90 250 sundancer had the same material as the dinette area and after re covering them hoped to never see that again. Now I can start over, but that is in the future. In the 250 I used the leftover vinyl planks that I installed in my living room. Installed right over the carpet and finished the edges with a piece of molding. It came out OK. It was a much smaller space though.

I know from post on the other forum you are a much better carpenter than I am. Keep up the good work.

Still plugging away on my exhaust and raw pump replacement

Mike, I just mix the 50/50 in a spray bottle and have at it, soaking it well, then just walk away. Next day its all clean. If u have some residual, you can vacuum it up the next day with a shop vac. Thats for the hull liner, if u scrub it, it pills.

I did the cabin 1st cuz it was cold and I had heat in there ;)

Most mechanicals were redone before I bought it, but i have to change the water heater next week.

That looks awesome! When are you coming to Toms River to do mine, I tear out the carpet!!

Good news I got all my exhaust manifolds either off or loose. It's all down hill from here.

Wow! Fantastic work. Looking forward to the next update.

I finished the cabin sole and reinstalled all the odds and ends, will post some pics when I go back inside.

I got the anti fouling paint done for the season.

I received the 4x8 roll of stainable wood tambour. Im cutting it to size with a flooring saw. Gonna stain it to match the cherry and put stainless handles on to match the cabinets and drawers.
