So here is the boat.
1984 270DA
Single 330 mer.
Dual Fuel tank
Appears to be Original Carburetor History unknown (mer 1347-8291)
19.75 x 19 prop (Fresh rebuild)
Here is my problem:
Cannot get boat to plane out, @ WOT underway I am only getting at the most 3200 RPM and what seems to be a rich smell from the exhaust. If i back off throttle and hold around 2500 RPM it will stay there for awhile but then will lose 500 to 600 RPM for while then return with out any intervention from me. When out of gear Motor will Rev with no issue.
What I have already done:
Replaced spin on filter, Checked Screen filter at Carb., Drained and filled one tank and ran on it for an hour or so., Checked Distributor for moisture and corrosion.
Side notes.
Plug Wires look to be in good shape and fairly new. Boat does not back fire, and never stalls out.
I have been pulling my Hair out on this one and any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!
