1979 SRV 207 Makeover Thread

Looking good, had my 82 out last weekend for walleye opener, only caught northerns.
of course forgot camera though. Thinking you could double the number of drink holes
for the rear facing seats or ???

Not a bad idea. Did a bit more of the teak work over the past couple of days. The larger swim platform was tough to get sanded to look good. "They say he carved that swim platform from a bigger swim platform!" Lots of sanding involved. Here's the last of the pieces with their first coat of 50/50 tung oil and thinner. I am happy with how they are looking.

Well, the weather is the pits up here right now. Sun finally came out today, but there is risk of frost tonight! Grr. So, I keep plugging away at things. Final coat of varnish on the teak. Here is the larger swim platform in all its glory!

Well, the weather is nice, and I think Sunday might be the maiden voyage for "Liv 'n' Luce"! Started putting some of the teak back in this evening.

Great weekend ahead upper 70's here Sunday. Took mine to cabin last weekend and had nephews tubeing water still pretty cold though. gotta get out and enjoy these
short but sweet summers. Do you fish lake Winnipeg? looks like a great place for Walleyes and Pike.

I have fished mostly in the Red River during the fall run which empties into Lake Winnipeg. Now that I have a boat at the cottage, I will be fishing in the lake. Just bought a Lowrance Elite 4x to put into it. There are definitely some big Walleye in that lake. Hope to catch some of those this summer.

Lots done this past weekend, but no splash down yet. Completed the following though on Sat / Sun.

- reinstalled and secured all seating
- changed engine oil and filter to Amsoil Marine grade synthetic
- changed oil in stern drive to Amsoil synthetic
- installed Lowrance Elite 4x fish finder and depth finder
- fixed blower in engine bay
- reinstalled all refinished teak
- washed carpet
- fixed trailer wiring
- greased trailer hubs

Getting closer to splash down!

Wow, beautiful boat, you've really made it look fantastic! Love the orange stripes.

But you have your ranks backward, you're lucky she doesn't read this thread or know better..."Admiral" is the offical rank of your significant other. Think about it...it makes sense, right?!! :smt001

Yes, you are probably right!

Just finished up the new drink holder for the engine cover. Solid maple since I had no teak, and the original was messed up.
