That is true for the standard Bravo 3 but the Seacore comes with the Stainless Steel steering pin that does not rust. The non-Seacore pin can rust and this is what takes out the seal. I found the "Official 370 Sundancer thread and will post the question there to see if anyone had a similar issue.
