that is what the mechanic said but new boats are 140k more than fixing this still its a crap shoot anyone want to buy a fixer upper? Im afraid all I have is the outdrive aand engine plus the trailer may 3k tops.
any suggestions I have an approximate cost of between 5 and 7 k to fix it by replacing the transom or 1500 dollars to put some new gel in it to harden it up but that doesn't meat there isn't any rot any where else. I'm not going to do this myself as its too big of a project for me. any thoughts?
1st Boat Crist Craft Mariah 25' 1967 Crist Craft had it on the water once to tow it home to work on it
2nd 20' 2000 Stingray CX no name
3rd 22' Sea ray 220 DA Knot a Care (only for MMSI I have not painted or pvc the name on the stern)
just explain that it is CG approved and show him the label enough said I bought at bigger floating version from Sirius love it. I keep the flares around just in case
i tried to get my insurance company to give me the ACV but never got an answer in the chat being an old boat I want to know whether my boat is worth 2k or 20k. because if something happened 2k isn't even worth having insurance for. I'll pay the Premium for 20k coverage rather than something...
I just had this problem sort of and it was the choke had had a new carb installed with electric choke and the chock slipped i guess after installation so finally the mechanic was able to get back to fix this choke and it ran fine last week may at least check since your boat is about the same age...
any idea how you get those zincs' on your outdrive shafts just above the propeller shown, mine has holes but they are not treaded to add the screws into. Can I just drill threads and find bolts that will fit?
