Catawaba Island/Orrville,Oh.
Boat Info
340 Sundancer 2001
Engines
8.1s 370 v drv.
1.Buff and seal with Starke products done.
2. Reconditioned used Radar Dome mount done and Installed.
3. Light bar made and installed.
4. Garmin 18 xhd radar and 1042xsv installed.
5. Air Horn relocated on arch.
Only thing left to do is relocate Air Horn compressor from top of arch to the bottom side and relocate new AM/FM antenna. When we bought the 340Da. it didn't have Radar so Light Mast, AM/FM Antenna and Horn were all mounted right in the middle of the arch where the Dome mount had to go. Boy since the holidays been over we've been at the boat on Fridays plugging away getting ready for splash day.

Pics or it didn’t happen. :)

actually I’m interested in seeing some of the install as I am in the middle as well. Just starting to plan the new Garmin dome and relocating the stuff on the arch.

One of the things I did different this time was to install terminal stripes mounted inside the arch instead of installing a new RJ45 plug that you have to cut of to install the cable.

The radar mount base I used was big enough to cover up all the holes in the arch left over by the horn and Nav. light.

My winter "project" was simple; find a replacement fridge for the ailing Dometic that wasn't new price. 'Found it! 400 bucks to my door, and it works. Now, I just have to wait for the snow to melt away from the boat to put it in. The real project starts this spring if/when I decide to pull the instrument cluster out and start the wiring from scratch. It's a real mess in there...

Either the weather is real nice or you’re indoors with the boat. Can’t chance it here, as it still actually is winter.

Found this on line and bent one up out of 308 thin wall Stainless Steel. Cost me $16.00. The top piece is a PVC fitting that was turned down.

Outdrive on boat today with new lower unit. Slap on some paint on bottom and outdrive and I’ll be ready to rock. Based on this winter’s temperatures I may be able to launch much earlier this year, possibly 6 weeks.

any idea how you get those zincs' on your outdrive shafts just above the propeller shown, mine has holes but they are not treaded to add the screws into. Can I just drill threads and find bolts that will fit?

Dig a little deeper into those holes. IIRC, they're smooth to allow the spanner wrench to spin the end caps off, but are threaded deeper down inside those same holes for attaching the zincs.

Working on replacing the carpet with vinyl planks. About ⅓ done at this point. More work on the flooring this weekend. Having the boat cut and polished this weekend. My effort on that will involve writing a check.

No you might want to use private message for sharing your phone number, now anyone, in the world, that finds this thread has your number.
And you quoted him with his number visible, so even when he goes and edits his post to remove the number (which he did), it'll still show. :)
