I use my 30 amp shore power for my trickle charger. I wouldn’t have an ordinary extension plug anywhere near my dock. Safety first!

Most marinas provide 30amp 120v power. Double check to see. I wouldn’t trust a regular style 120v extension cord to hook up to the boat. Most have inadequate shielding and would be dangerous around the open water.

They are bolted from the back. You have to unscrew the nuts to remove the panels from the sides. Be patient and make sure you remove them all. Good luck.

Funny enough my upper unit gears were shot and it was heating the water going into the engine. I replaced the upper and everything was fine. Not sure if that will solve your problem but it solved mine.

Happened to me. The inner mechanics are plastic and may have broken. If you can disassemble and clean and lubricate it great. If it’s broken it should be replaced.

Anyhow you can secure it from the bolt. Use a large washer and nut. You should never have to use it as an anchor point. Only to secure line to boat. Enjoy your boat!
