I used flexsteel, let it dry, then cut to fit some rug matting. Has worked well and salvaged some more life.

There is a fitting that the water intake from drive goes through that I had to replace because it gradually pinches off. Drives have to be pulled to get to it. Is your psi not increasing when you bring rpms up? Cost me $1500 to have drives pulled and new hose fitting put in. Good time to...

Anybody have the rear bimini pole extension button freeze up? Any ideas to unseat it? Rarely remove all canvas and when I did the button was stuck solid. Appreciate ideas. Ron

Removed the whole glass from top cutting/removing the old caulk. Not sure its the right way, but the minor leak stopped.

One of my skylights leaked, and simply took one out from the topside and recaulked. Stopped leaking.

I too was wondering about changing the helm seat. I have a double on mine but would like for it to swivel around. Hope we hear what other 290 owners have done. Ron

Appreciate the thought. Probably not. I was going to create another barnacle reef with my unit since the handle/cord was entirely duck taped. Was actually shopping new radios when I saw this post to see what others folks were buying and replacing their units with. Thank you.

My NS100 cord is shedding more than my dog. Interested in handset to get by until my next allowance from my wife so I can splurge on a Simrad or Icom or a nice 8 track.

Bought new serp belt and still getting some belt particles in bilge. Pulleys on that engine look alittle rusty. So, I am looking for tips on maybe removing pulleys to sand and paint or just leave them on and sand and paint. Will that even help. Appreciate advice. Ron

Cincy, you were right the amp was there with no power to it, ended up being a simple blue/wh wire that came unconnected. Do you get a humming sound coming through the speakers when the charger is on? thanks
