I had the same problem except it was my daughter and son-in-law. I solved to it by replacing the screws with bolts and large washers. It was tough to get to the underside of the floor because it is so close to the engine but I was able to do it.
That was 3 years ago and I haven't had a problem...
You can screw the spare end cap connector that comes with the head charcoal filter to the garden hose. The other side will go into the HVAC hose.

I spend weekends on my boat in Baltimore in the winter. It got pretty cold last year. We used three oil filled radiator style electric heaters when the water got to cold for the reverse cycle to work. Put one in the bilge and one in the salon and the last in the forward cabin. Worked fine but...
I think what you are describing is the normal operation of the synchronizer. That port engine is the master and the starboard is the slave. It takes a few seconds for the slave to adjust to the master throttle setting

I looked at the 36 and ended up going with the 400. The 36 felt top heavy to me although I never did a sea trial. In my case the 400 was almost the same price as the 36 and it has diesels. I think he would be better off with an older 400. .

I just replaced my microwave a couple of weeks ago. Pull out the fridge and you'll see the screws that secure the oven. Once you find them all, just lift the unit over the lip and you should be good to go.
I had to clear a blocked screen in the dock water inlet last weekend. I struggled with the starboard panel for quite some time until I removed the valve wheel from the fresh water out faucet. The panel came right out with a little twist and pull, then. I still experience dock water pressure that...
"The Cottage" will be at BMC Inner Harbor marina from Thursday through Sunday. We have 6 boats from our yacht club with us. Should be a great time.

My 400 DB came with both a white and a black screen. I use the white one because I think it reflects the light a keeps us cooler. I hate that it messes up our view. I plan to change it out for a very dark tint.

I am in the research phase of getting thrusters. The bolt on external models look like an attractive alternative to building a tunnel in the hull. Below is a link to the ethrust type I am considering. Any thoughts?

I use my boat year around in Baltimore and rather than winterize I have an oil filled radiator in the bilge and a couple more in the cabin. I put swim noodles in the engine room vents to keep the heat in. I have an alarm that sends a text with the bilge temp each day and notifies me if the...
