I had a 245 Weekender so there is a big difference. I think because of the radar arch it does get blown around in the wind, which is always kicking around where we boat. Like I said in an earlier post I should have went right to a 300 Sundancer from the Weekender. The 260 is too small for our...
That's the difference, I wasn't being shut down. The boat operated as it normally does. I know my marina is going to come back and say it was faulty and something stupid that triggered the alarm. Then reality sets in and says nope, you'll be billed at least $300 for this something stupid that...
Okay 2600DA, I have to ask being that no one else did. Why are you going up in such small increments? You had a 250, then went to a 260, and now are considering a 280? Our first boat was a Sea Ray 245 Weekender, and now I'm in a 260 Sundancer. I almost made the same mistake again at the...
Did a master reset yesterday; after it powered back up I noticed that the depth finder is no longer a reading.
Any ideas on how to restore that function?
I thought it may be that as well so I took out the batteries and within a few minutes heard the same alarm.
Had the boat out yesterday, ran fine, all major readings were normal. Can't put my finger on this one.
I'm assuming that's the standard Smartcraft audio alarm system? Will the alarm message appear in the tach/rpm screen?
This is going to drive my crazy trying to figure out what it is. It can't be the IAC valve because the engine is running perfectly normal. I did notice on my GPS that the...
Thanks to GMAN in the general forum section I think after further research that I've found the problem. I'm getting two beeping sounds every few minutes.
Anyone have this problem? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Is that something I need to resolve before going out again? I know that sounds like a really stupid question but if it's something minor that I'll have ease of mind.
Out today while underway hear an alarm. Sounds two times, and comes on sporadically. Smart Craft says all systems are okay, oil pressure, water pressure, temperature, bilge completely dry. I shut my GPS and it still goes off. Sounds like the same chime as when you turn the ignition on...
Was working last year, not that it's an accurate assessment and I use the GPS, but being anal it's bothering me that it does not work. Is that an easy fix?
Thanks everyone.
Chris
You couldn't have said it better Tail. An adrenaline rush that sits in my garage that can be available immediately. I thought when I bought my quad this year that that was a rush, especially out in the snow. But there is no comparison when you're on a V-Rod. Actually thinking about selling...
Whether you're on a Sportster or a V-Rod they are equally dangerous. 60mph vs. 120mph is no different if you have a problem. Unlike with my two boats I bought the bike I wanted from the start. Can't do the trade up to it after gaining experience. Learned my lesson on the boat!
You ride Kay?
I'm with you Jedi in terms of wanting a bigger boat. I've learned my lesson and will only get another boat when it's the one we really want. And right now that's at least a 340 Dancer so I will wait. And have some fun along the way!
You guys are absolutely right in terms of sheer power. I was out getting used to it yesterday and doing 60mph still having plenty of throttle made me realize how fast it can go. Now I'm 35, married, with two small children so I'm not looking to be stupid on this.
I'm with you on the toys...
We spent about 3 months searching for a new (used), bigger boat this season. When it finally came down to it we were standing to lose over $20k on the boat we're in now that we just bought one year ago. In this environment it didn't make sense to us to part with that kind of money, let alone...
