Out today while underway hear an alarm. Sounds two times, and comes on sporadically. Smart Craft says all systems are okay, oil pressure, water pressure, temperature, bilge completely dry. I shut my GPS and it still goes off. Sounds like the same chime as when you turn the ignition on, however it beeps twice and I cannot figure out where/why it's coming on. Again, can't seem to find anything wrong with the way the engine is running, trim, tabs, etc.

Any thoughts?

You really need a DDt to really diagnose this problem. My guess is that it is either an IAC valve or water pressure sensor going bad. Check the connections of all sensors.

IAC is directly on top of engine right under the cover in front. Looks like a small cylinder attached to square block.

Water pressure sensor is located all the way in back left on top of oil cooler. You may have to go online and look at a schematic for more details.

Is that something I need to resolve before going out again? I know that sounds like a really stupid question but if it's something minor that I'll have ease of mind.

The alarm is going off for a reason. It is warning you that there is a problem. It will not be a fun trip when you are paddling back. My suggestion would be to have it fixed right so you can enjoy time on the water.

is it a chirp or a whistle or a horn? Sounds like it could be a CO monitor in the cabin.

I thought it may be that as well so I took out the batteries and within a few minutes heard the same alarm.

Had the boat out yesterday, ran fine, all major readings were normal. Can't put my finger on this one.
