Did a master reset yesterday; after it powered back up I noticed that the depth finder is no longer a reading.

Any ideas on how to restore that function?

Bam,

You may need to 'turn on' the depth display., or you may need to force SC to search for external senders. On the SC5000 these features are found in the Set Up section and Favorites.

What he said. I did the same thing. Look in the SC owner's manual for calibration options and it will walk you through the process, not hard at all.

I'm suprised that the calibration routine didn't start up on its own after the reset. Did the display look "normal" after it restarted or did it have something else on it?

I did something to mine playing around with it last year and I ended up do a reset. I don't think it was a "master" reset, just a normal one, and it went right into the # of engines selection, then asked about the various sensors and transducers, offsets, trim calibrations, etc..

I checked the book for calibration but I only see low water depth alarm set up.

Huh, I don't have my manual handy, maybe it's in the "set up" section. But on my 04 Sundeck I am as sure as my failing memory can be that it was under calibration. Either way, it should be in there somewhere.
