I have an '06 Fronty 4x4 auto that I pull a '97 190 open bow with. Little higher tow rating, and it handles the boat well, however, I wish there was more power for the interstate runs. Sliding down the slick ramp with the brakes locked isn't fun either. I would recommend a bigger tow vehicle.
Stayed there this summer for a long weekend, well, Pigeon Forge that is (right next door). It was a little bit cheaper than staying in actual Gatlinburg. We had a cabin in the woods. It was nice, and not too far away from town. We used Alpine Mountain Chalets...
I have these on our trailer, and have no problems centering.

They don't seem really sturdy, but no problems so far, even in strong winds and wake.
I use cans all the time. I too hate the gas belch. My trick is a slow pour.
I seem to have less problems with a real vented can than with one of those "self-vented" cans.
$7100 is not bad, especially since i paid a few thousand more for my '97 190. Do try to get it a little lower though, even a little. Please get it checked out before you buy!!! Wish I did. :smt021
Your battery may be toast, but i would pull it out and have it checked at a parts store just to be sure.
Even though the alternator seemed to be charging, they say you can blow it's diodes by reversing polarity. Wouldn't hurt to have it checked too.
I would also check the wiring and connections...
I used Perko when I added a second. Works great. Stokley's Marine in Nicholasville (if that's close) has everything you need and are glad to help you out.
Does anyone have any knowledge about replacing a power steering cylinder. Mine appears to be leaking pretty significantly, as in I have to add fluid every outing. The OE part is fairly expensive, but i have seen some online for as little as a third of the cost (which I assume are aftermarket)...
Thanks Wish2Fish.
We stayed at Grove on Laurel, and the boat-in was the same as you described for Zilpo and Holly Bay. I think what made it so hard for us was the side of the Grove that we stayed on. It was a pretty big hill, but had a great view, and the wake was a little calmer.
I love Cave...
We tried out boat-in camping at Laurel Lake a couple of weekends ago. A lot of fun, and it was beautiful, but it was a heck of a lot of work. Load the truck, unload the truck, load the boat, unload the boat, set up camp, and then reverse the order when it's time to go. I would do it again, but...
tdappleman,
I have the same weeping of fluid from my drive (at the green circle)- just a little, but enough to annoy. The Sea Ray dealer's service adviser told me not to worry about it unless it gets bad, or I start finding water in the gear oil. It's something I will eventually fix, but no rush.
