as Lazy Daze and others suggested I found I do have to drain ports on my sea water pumps. I appreciate the help! Now, I just need summer to hurry up and arrive.
Thanks LD,
I may have to start it and do as you say. My Sea Ray dealer is the only mechanic that has done any service on any of the boats I have had including winterizations. They have always taken the plugs out. Your method seems better, I wonder why they don't do that.
Appreciate the replies. I'm almost 100% certain that my seawater pump only has 1 drain plug. At least, that's what's indicated on the parts drawing from the Mercury website when I input the engine serial number. I also do not believe I have drain plugs on the exhaust manifolds. I will check...
Hi all,
Feeling a bit silly, but for the life of me I cannot figure out where the 4th blue drain plug gets inserted on the engines. (I didn't winterize.) For reference, I have twin raw water cooled 5.0 MPI DTS Bravo III. I found 3 of the locations on each engine, thermostat housing, the...
2010. 310 Sundancer Twin 5.0l….the issue I have is a ground wire that is fastened to a bolt directly above my garboard drain. I thought the ground wire looked a little loose so I attempted to tighten the nut but the bolt was just spinning. Turns out the bolt broke off the head. Does anyone know...
I was able to fix my issue. Turns out it wasn't the glass, but instead the frame had shifted due to the stanchion piece loosening up. I had to remove the side of the frame and a portion of top of the frame to to get the rubber gasket to seat properly. once that was done, was able to get...
Has anyone ever had the glass in their windshield slide out of the groove? I’m not see ally sure how to slide it back in and am scared I’m going to crack it. It appears to have shifted 1/4” or so. The boat is a 2010 310 Sundancer
Yes. I called and talked to fire-boy’s technical support team. Simply connect red to red, black to black, and the two white relay wires together. other two wires on the cmd6 do not need to be used. Worked perfect on my boat.
My boat has 1 CO2 Detector and I have the relay setup as I have a generator on board. My CMD4 has reached its end of life. I have just received my new detector and am a little confused as how to wire the new one up so I'm hoping for some CSR guidance. Obviously the black and red wires...
thanks for the replys. looks like ill start saving my pennies for the vessel view link. Mercury sure seems to be real proud of that little black box. haha.
Apologize in advance if this question has been asked... I just purchased a 2010 310 Sundancer that has 5.0L mercs with DTS and vessel view. Last fall the previous owner installed brand new pretty cool Simrad chart plotter. I don't know jack crap about these things, but I am wondering how I...
Where could i find information that tells me what my Water PSI on my sea water pump should be at say 3200 -3800 rpm? I run a 350 MAG with Seacore and can not find this information in my manual. I just replaced my sea water pump assembly due to a bearing failure, so i want to be sure everything...
I would also check to make sure that the stainless steel Bow-Eye is sealed up really good. I had this same issue on my 2007 240. Only would get water in the sump area on choppy conditions.
Its amazing how vastly different the Columbia River is from the Canadian Boarder down to where you boat. We do our boating north of the GCD, (Lake Roosevelt) our scenery couldn't be any different.
does anyone know where I can get a new 1/2 full sensor tube? all I can find online are the newer versions where all three sensors tubs are on one piece. My tank setup has 3 individual tubes.
