My boat has 1 CO2 Detector and I have the relay setup as I have a generator on board. My CMD4 has reached its end of life. I have just received my new detector and am a little confused as how to wire the new one up so I'm hoping for some CSR guidance. Obviously the black and red wires connect, and the 2 white wires connect. in addition to those wires, the original CMD4 harness has brown and yellow wires. On the new CMD6 there is only 1 additional yellow wire. If I read the instructions correctly, the yellow wire on the CMD6 would only be used if I had more than one detector to connect. Since I only have one detector, do I just simply connect red to red, black to black, white to white, white to white and leave the original yellow and brown wires disconnected?

Did you get an answer? I’m replacing my CMD-4-RLY with the CMD-6 and have the same wiring and question.

Yes. I called and talked to fire-boy’s technical support team. Simply connect red to red, black to black, and the two white relay wires together. other two wires on the cmd6 do not need to be used. Worked perfect on my boat.
