Howdy, I have a weird noise from my port engine. Kind of like a "rattling" metalic sound. Sounds like something is loose & rattling. Checked everything, all is tight. Looked for the grease fitting on the engine coupler and there is none? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi All, How important are the WATER SHUTTERS (FLAPPERS) on the "Y" exhaust tube on a V-8? I just pulled off my elbows and they open easy but don't spring back to the closed position too well. At a cost of $260 for 4 are they really needed? That could 1/2 fill both of my gas tanks!

Had to replace all 4 trim cylinders. I purchased the SEI Trim Cylinders over the Mercruiser cylinders at a savings of over $1,000.00. The new hoses aligned up nice making the installation a breeze!

Can someone tell me the correct tightening torque for installing the hinge pins in an Alpha I drive. I see 2 different specs. Some say 40 ft lbs and others say 105 ft lbs. When I removed them I had to use a 18" breaker bar to get them loose so I'm thinking the 105 ft lbs is the correct number...

I thought it was a rumor that the Jones Beach Tower was being taken down, but it really is happening. That has been a landmark icon to me all my life. They are putting a rose garden in it's place. Going to be hard to see the rose garden heading back in from the Canyon! :huh:
