Need help with removal

Need help with removal of drop down storage box. Can't get

access from back side (inside head). Does anyone know the

trick?

Just taking a stab here, but maybe by removing the panels on either side of the steering wheel?

I take it there's no way you can reach your hand and arm in there the way it is?

Can you get a mirror in there so you can see what you're dealing with? It may be just a small stop-block that removes easily with a short screwdriver or small ratchet. Just guessing, though - never done it.

On the right hand side you will find a stop made out of aluminum angle, reach in with a subby phillips head screw driver and undo the screws, the "glove box" door will then open all the way to the deck. It's a pain in the a$$ but doable. Only put one screw back when you reassemble, it will make it easier to remove next time.
