As of now it looks like Tampa will be spared the direct hit and with the prediction of a more southerly landfall Tampa could be in the upper left quadrant of the storm rather than in the dreaded right upper or lower quadrant. Pushing the water out of Tampa Bay sure is a lot better than pushing all that water into the bay and the city. Either way FL is in for a major storm.

We tried so hard to get her to come up there with us last night ….. she said sure but she got off at 2:00 Mike and I couldn’t stay up that late….. sucks to be old

Wife just flew back from a family event in North Ohio. Her youngest sister lives in Tampa, all flights canceled. No idea when she will get home.

Blueone we were down in Key West several years ago and took a sunset cruise on a ~130' sailing ship. In its earlier years it was used to lay cable. At the time of the cruise it was docked in the harbor near where that bar is.

Sure not looking good for Ft Meyers area. Raining like hell over on the east side. 16 inches in my rain gauge since yesterday.
