Official 370 Venture thread

search back through the threads for the better props. I think all who have switched to 13 inch pitch props are better off. I never fill up, but don't go on long cruises.
New owner here but our boat has 13p props and I have no problems at getting on plane quickly with 2 full tanks, full water, 4 on board with gear. I see no power issue with this boat at all!

I do have a few questions for the crew:
1. How do I remove/replace the bulbs in the overhead lights in the stateroom? Does anyone know what size the bulbs are?
2. My starboard nav light is out. I didnt have a chance to take out the bulb and check. Anyone know that one?
3. I have read that few guys have a quick connect and/or a splitter for flushing the engines. Any pictures?
4. One of my snaps is missing from the windshield. They arent the normal screw in kind like on my old boat. Does anyone know how to replace them?

I am sure I will have more in the coming days/weeks.

Thanks! Overall we LOVE the boat! We have spent 5 of the last 8 nights on board since she got delivered.

Thanks...read thru all posts today...lots of great info. Thanks for the active members posting updates and info...greatly appreciated for a new owner. Found the props you mentioned and have them ordered to install asap.

Switched out the battery charger with a new ProNautica 1240p. Easier than I thought. Still get no response when turning ignition keys to the smartcraft or helm gauges. I've got power to the engines, the breaker panel and helm fuse board. I'm thinking maybe the DTS clean power harness fuse blew but I cannot find it anywhere. Have any of you noticed this power harness in your Venture? Location?
Did you ever locate the blown fuse or ??

Still have the original stereo system. The usb input works but the aux does not. I’ve taken the faceplate off and checked all connections to make sure they are tight and they are. I want to put a basic Bluetooth adapter on the aux input until I can update the stereo system but it won’t recognize this input. Anyone else encountered this?

It is a "technological dinosaur" being 8 years old. If one is really handy you could potentially replace the radio and amp with "modern" and built in bluetooth and wifi. Mine has a Sirius receiver. I tried the weather subscription to sirius, but found it just as easy to iPhone weather maps and more clear. I have the e Raymarine display on the dash. Almost forgot I have a fusion bluetooth connected.

Thanks for the input. I was kinda thinking it would just need replaced soon. I've been making do by plugging my phone into the usb for radio. Previous owner replaced the display with a Garmin but did not replace the Raymarine top unit so the radar does not work on the Garmin display. They need to be the same from what I'm told...so I've got some electronic upgrades in the near future. Will do radio at the same time.

I'm not fond of my Raymarine radar for sure.

New one. I have lost all the fluid in my compass. If this has happened to you, let me know how fixed??

Is it a "Ritchie" brand? If so call them up in Pembroke, Ma with the model #. They will give a quote to refurbish it. They are great people and do quality work.

Not sure if we have the same compass but my Ritchie compass developed a bubble.
The unit I have is not serviceable and ordered a new one from the North Sea Navigator, who is local to me. They had it drop-shipped to my home. Wasn't expensive...

I keep my Venture on the lift to avoid yearly bottom jobs and all that is involved with a stored in the water expense. However, this means I can't run the cabin AC and avoid hot and humid inside issues, like mold. Has anyone figured out how to use a small portable AC (shore powered) unit in the cabin while on the lift. The problem is where to take the exhaust from the unit. I tried a dehumidifier and found they quit running at slightly above 90 degrees.

see photo of mold on cushions. Any suggestions for cleaning?

So I'm trying to track down a set of the Enertia 13pitch props that several here have switched to to help the planing issues but they are on backorder with no supply date known. Anyone on here have a spare set or know where there may be a set available? I know it's a long shot but really getting tired of the slow starts...

COVID Bites again?

Personally from my research and testing, I would go with the props I mentioned above.

When I had put 4 blade props on my 370 it had great torque and handling at low speeds but it was worse for getting on plane and running it.

What was the pitch on the Rev4s that you tried? I'm trying to find the 13P Enertias but its nearly impossible right now. I may try the Rev4s if I can find a set of them.

They were 15 inch pitch and you definitely don’t want those. They were awful on getting out of the hole. I sold them via Facebook ad for $250 each. Something you might check would be eBay or Facebook?

Hey Kevin. Is your arch black? Was that done from the factory or by an owner? Any close up pictures?

Thanks,
Matt

So I got lucky and found a set in stock after calling a ton of dealers. Going on today and hopefully can test them this weekend!

Hi Matt! Yes our arch is black. I’m a second owner but I believe it was from the factory that way. Here’s some pics but they are not great. The boat is a 2013 and was hardly used and not well maintained the last few years. The paint is oxidized but is getting 3 step polished next month. The detailer said it will come back to looking new as he said the sea ray paint is the best around.

That looks slick! Very nice! Congrats on the new boat. We are new owners as well. LOVE it! Planning on doing a few of the same things you are. Radio, speakers, Radar, led lights, etc. This forum doesnt get much action so please post your progress.
