Official 370 Venture thread

Afternoon all. I do not own a 370 owner but in the market and this boat is in my top 5. There seems to be a lot of concern of under power when getting on plane (true or false doesn't matter). As these boats are now getting older has anyone had issues with the Verado's and if so has anyone switched to a different model and more specifically a different HP (350's or bigger)? Thank you from a curious potential owner.

Chad…as modelsh said…the props are the key. Power is fine. Switching from 15p to 13p made a world of difference. Once I made the switch, no issues getting on plane within a few seconds with full load. Max speed is around 38, down from 41 but not a big deal to me. Cannot beat the cabin space of this boat and the outboards are so much easier than inboards for maintenance and location (I’m in SW FL). My wife and I have spent alot of nites anchored out and with the cabin and grill/cooktop on deck it’s awesome.

We’ve looked at the Aquila power cats for our next boat in 6-8 years to live on. Great boats!

Our venture is a 2013 that wasn't used alot and hadn't been polished in years. Just got it polished and removed the side decals near the stern and the waterline stripe as we felt they were too 'busy'. Gotta say the Sea Ray paint is great as ours went from chalky to like new with one polish.

Looks great without the waterline stripe, I think I will do the same

Look under starboard passenger (rear) seat cushions for main AC power breakers/switches. Fuse panel under steering wheel has 12v fuses. Under captains seat is 12v main switch and breakers. Confirm AC power status on main control panel in cabin.
Sorry for the very delayed response and update. After months of digging turns out the boat took on a power surge from ship to shore hookup. Took out battery charger, vessel view, Starboard PCM. Finally back together in time to pull it for the winter

Hi. I have the exact same problem. Starts and immediately shuts down. Generator display says Engine Fault while cabin display says Aux Fault. I have verified that this is not related to the CO detector (it works correctly and I have jumped the white wires on harness together and even disconnected that harness from the control module on generator). I have checked all the water pressure and flow sensors, etc, either jumping or replacing and still cannot get unit to stay running for more than 3 seconds. Have you been able to find a solution to our problem? I'm wondering if one of the boards or relays in the control module have failed. Control module was replaced in 2017. Thank you,
John
Hi John, were you able to resolve the issue? Mine ending up being a bad in-line fuel pump

Have any of you guys upgraded/replaced the Sony head unit and the remote at the helm? The head unit is a weird size and the remote isnt compatible with a newer Sony model. Looking for ideas (and pictures if possible). Thanks

Has anyone resealed this window? I think it may be leaking into the cabin. Where else could I get water on top of the nearby ceiling panel?

Good morning all! New member here, just acquired a new to me 2014 Venture and looking forward to spending plenty of time out on the water. I have read through this forum and needless to say there is tons of great information, I look forward to contributing to our shared knowledge. We are located in Punta Gorda Florida so if there are any fellow Venture owners nearby give a shout out!

Congrats on the new boat! Welcome to the group!

Enjoying the journey of learning the new toy. I was wondering if anyone on the forum had accessed the stereo amplifiers. Based on the parts manual, it is located next to the sofa in the midberth. I can see at least 1 set of RCA cables in the general area so I am pretty sure it is correct. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove the upholstered panel in this picture in order to access the space. Any ideas?

Hey Bob. It’s attached with plastic “Christmas trees” and was a BEAR to get off. There are 3 on the top and 3 on the bottom. My plan is to replace them with Velcro when I finish my install. Here is a picture

Thank you both so much for the insight. Looks like I have a weekend project! Will let you know how it goes.

Excellent. Very clean install by the way!

Thanks to the great advice, I was able to successfully remove the panel. A few pics for anyone who may face this in the future. Mine was held on by 4, and I think I will also go the Velcro route when I replace. Will be installing some JL Audio power and speakers to get some cleaner sound.

In case someone else experiences, I was having intermittent left channel audio when playing bluetooth through the Rockford headunit. Under a mass of wires found the dongle (see pic) and it seems the connectors don't truly match up correctly so you really need to force it in to make proper contact. All is working now.

I noted significant number of wires going behind the salon TV, and can see the galvanic isolator is mounted behind there. Has anyone removed the TV? Any suggestions how to get to it? It does not seem to be typical slide on mount style. Any input welcome.

Bob,
Glad it worked out! I am curious how to remove/replace the TV as well. Way down on my list is to replace the DVD player with a BlueRay. We stream almost everything now but I would still like to upgrade both of them. Please take some pictures when you get the TV out.

BTW - where are you located?

Had another look at it last night and can't figure out how they secured it. I have a flexible bore camera I am going to try to get in there so I can see what is going on from back side, may yield some clues. Stay posted!

As for the Blue ray, same plan over here, I already was able to loosen the Toshiba DVD, it is held in place by Velcro so was able to stick a plastic spreader between the player and the unit and slide it out. Of course, plugs in somewhere behind the TV, so still gotta figure that out.

We are located in Punta Gorda, FL. Will try and update my profile info now.

Good luck! I will have to check my DVD player...it sure felt screwed/clamped in last I checked. Maybe I will get lucky and its velcro also!
