Ours is great as well. What wrong with the shower? Mine works perfect.
Has any of you 460 owners drilled a drain behind the captains chair in the floor? Just wondering. It is a pain in the butt when you wash the cockpit that the water pools behind on the floor.
We're in Chicago, Lake Michigan. It sucks to be looking for a new boat just in time for storage season!
I had mine done last winter. Depending on how many RPMs you need will dictate if you change the pitchHi all, I'm having my props done and am seriosly considereing having them pitched according to the fuel burns that Tony from SeaBoard recommends for the 480CE (450 fuel curve). I've read through all of Tony's articels and have spoken with him (very helpful individual).
Has anyone reduced the prop-pitch accordingly and if so, how much cruise speed did you loose? Any thoughts on engine experiences/failres in our boats (DA460), as the other posts in the forum seem to favor issues/failures associated with the DA390s?
Any help is appreciated as always.
Charlie,The suggested 2700 WOT rpm cannot quite be achieved, but you should be able to hit the governed rpm of 2680 with the boat fully loaded. As I propped my 460 I ended up with a set of Acme's at 24x25. This allowed the loaded boat to easily hit the governor limit and closely follow the 450 fuel curve. The boat was a bit under propped, but I was looking for that.
If I remember correctly, I saw it when I pulled the fridge out and was working back there and looked up and forward. I also think you can reach it through the speaker above the microwave, but that would be limited access.Anyone know how to access the port windshield wiper motor?
Thanks
