Looking for a Fort Meyers charter cruise for 10 pax

Hello Southeasterners, We boat Lake of the Ozarks and the Mississippi River but my family would like a taste of salt life boating. We will be vacationing in Fort Meyers Beach and are trying to find a charter boat that can accommodate all 10 adults for a sunset cruise around 1-2-18, all that I...

    Dripless shaft seal failure

Just FYI, I contacted Tides Marine, the manufacture of these seals. They stated that if I had melted plastic in the fitting of this seal, that it had been overheated and was just a matter of time until the seal seized to the shaft and tore the entire assembly loose causing a huge leak. They...

    Dripless shaft seal failure

Difficulty aligning engine to get couplers to mate up flush

Bt Doctur, Thanks for the reply, When I was attempting this alignment, I loosened all four bolts in the coupler and adjusted the engine mounts until I had equal space at 12 & 6 o'clock but touching at the 3 o'clock and a .008" gap at the 9 o'clock position. Next I loosened the pinch bolts and...

Difficulty aligning engine to get couplers to mate up flush

Hello, I recently bought my 330 Sundancer and wanted to try to reduce the noise and vibration so I checked the prop shaft alignment and found it off. I was able to raise the engine mounts and get the vertical alignment dead on but have a .008" gap on the starboard side of the coupler...
