Once in a while my screen changes from a perfectly clear map to an unreadable screen with lines across it. If I turn off and on or lightly bang a corner it will clear up. Could it be the connections behind the unit need to be cleaned? And if so with what? Thanks for any help.

I have a 2005 270 AJ, the fold down transom seat has a serious curve in the center. I am afraid the seat will break, so what are my best options to fix it.
Thanks Rich
I lost my sister 8 years ago, the void never goes away but time softens the heart. I often think of her enjoying my boat, but I got into boating as a result of her passing. I thought why am I waiting to buy a boat, and then just did, not concerned as much by being able to afford it. Life is...
It's definately the IAC, I had it go off during a five hour trip last summer (Loud alarm every two minutes!!!). Runs rough a low RPM's and will stall when stopped. $100 part and reasonably easy install. Good Luck.
I was at my marina yesterday (Long Island, NY) it was $4.95/gal. I can only assume with oil increasing the way it has I will be paying close to$5.50 by the summer!
It is still the least expensive part of boating, when compared to storage, winterizing and summer slip.
Its some hobby, huh...
I store the boat indoors, so I will try to get there next weekend to take a closer look. I guess it also depends how cold it is to apply new caulk. Thanks again...
I have a 2005 SeaRay Amberjack, I want to replace the caulking around the engine air ducts on both sides of the boat. Do the panels that cover the ducts need to come off and if so how do I remove the old caulk or can I put a new bead over the old to make it look better?
