How difficult is it to replace the rub rail on the swim platform? I have a 270 Amberjack. Thanks Rich

It's a bit of a pain but can be done yourself and one other person to hold up the material while you work on one section. We replaced ours this spring. You can get the exact replacement material on line by the foot. We stuck it on with 4200. The hardest part is working with the very stiff material and getting it over the lip of the swim platform. It'll take a few #$@$@# moments, but you'll get it. I used both a screw driver and small scraper to pry the inner edge onto the platform. Hard to explain but once you see the material you'll know what i mean. It's very tough. I sat on a mechanics creeper while the boat was on a trailer which made it easier on my back.

Good luck.

I'll just add that letting it in the bright sun on a blacktop driveway for a few hours can help to soften it up a bit. And/or... careful use of a heat gun on the low setting will help when it comes to the corners.

Thanks guys, I don't trailer the boat. Also sounds a bit tough.
