All:
I just went to my boat show last night. Prices ARE WAY DOWN, my guess is at least 8-10% lower than last year’s which I thought was a blowout show.
My 2 Cents from an IT Geek
Hey Fellow Portland & Vancouver Boat Buddies:
My wife and I attended the VIP Invitational Preview last night and enjoyed it very much indeed! The show is much smaller and shorter this year of course, about 55% smaller and only two EXPO buildings are being used instead of the normal five...
Why does this topic come up so often I ask myself rhetorically? Having owned a single 280DA and ridden in all three variations of power plants and having friends that to this day own all, I have some authority to speak. Though it is true that I still like the single best in a 280, if I am to...
Let me answer your question (why do I rate the 320 a 5 or 6). A little profile: boat now has three summers on it (fresh water lake) and two winters (fresh water river) / has 122 hours on the engines, 130 hours on the generator / well over 100 nights sleeping on it giving my usage better than...
This weekend the propeller on my bow thruster stopped spinning. The motor works but the propeller just sits there. When I turn by hand it easily spins. I assume a shear pin has given way. Does anyone know anything about this situation or has had a similar problem?
Thanks,

Hey Dave:
I have a friend in management at SR who shared that with me.
He also said that all boat production is halted; they expect to start casting boats again in late September but most likely not until October.
We talked about the economy, the boat business, SR’s approach to...
What do you think of SR’s new naming schema?
Sea Ray has decided to move from a Length Over Centerline (LOC) (also known as Length Over Deck LOD) measurement to a Length Over All (LOA). What do you think about that – pros, cons, comments?
For instance 2010 Sundancer example changes...
Re: 280 or 290 Sundancer
Well you piqued my interest here as these discussions tend to do. Some of the folks here have suggested going beyond the size of a 280/290. Let me start there by saying as a current 320 owner, I find there are few advantages to a larger than 280/290 boat and multiple...
I want to thank everyone who has given advice. At this time the owner is not willing to move forward with the project for various reasons. After much research and based on advice from this forum, I have advised the owner to go with a pro if they choose to someday move forward.
Thanks,
Marq
After re-reading my post I realize I did not mention this is a single 496MAG B3 set up. I personally owned the same boat and always felt it needed a bowthruster. I happen to be an excellent fiberglass craftsman and honestly, how hard can this be anyway? Why pay someone else for the labor when...
