Raymarine i70s Instrument Display - Anyone using one?

Thank you! I will read thru this thread. I've looked at the Actisense unit before but haven't decided to tackle this project yet.

Raymarine i70s Instrument Display - Anyone using one?

At the risk of sounding dumb...how are you getting RPM data from your 6V92s onto the NMEA2000 network? I have a pair of i70 displays that I'd love to get engine data onto. My boat is a 1994 500DA with 6V92 engines

    B&G Network pilot for sale

Pulled this out of my 1994 500DA. It powers on, but I don't know if it actually works because there is no GPS signal to it to tell if it actually runs the pump to steer, etc. If anyie is interested, let me know. In a week it will be dumpster bound!

    Top sliding hatch broke - 1994 500DA

Sooooo.....the spousal unit claims she has no idea how this happened...but she managed to break the top hatch of the cabin entryway, the part that pushes back on a sliding track. Pretty sure this is no longer a prodcution part, but maybe someone knows where I can maybe have one made????

Replace the genset with an inverter

I just did a LiFePo install on our 500DA. I put in three, 200aH LiFePo batteries, and a Xantrex 3000W inverter. I sized the batteries to handle all expected 120V loads, which for us would be, currently, the salon fridge (120v only), icemaker, lights, microwave/convection oven, coffee maker, etc...

    1994 500DA - Secondary water pump?

OK, that makes sense. So it isn't imperative for that second pump to be operational for just the wife and I. I'll replace it, simply because I can't abide something not working...it bugs me till I fix it! LOL!

    1994 500DA - Secondary water pump?

On our 1994 500DA, there is a primary 24V water pump, and also a secondary 24V pump, both located in the sump area in the middle of the salon. The secondary pump is bad, in that is run and runs and never shuts off. Appears the pressure switch is bad. What is the purpose of this second pump? Just...

    New refrigerator for 1994 500DA

After doing a lot of research on various 12v/120V fridges, I decided to put an inverter in. Granted, the upfront cost is more than swapping fridges, but I'll also gain 120V power without having to always run the generator, and also keep the larger fridge.

    New refrigerator for 1994 500DA

Looking to replace the 12 cu ft GE 120v only fridge on our new to us 500DA. We want to put in a AC/DC fridge. We spend a lot of weekends, and also weekdays, on the hook and I don't want to have to run the genset other than to top batteries off periodically. The outer dimensions of the existing...

    Open Array vs Closed

Thanks for the quick response! You confirmed what I was thinking, but I didn't want pass on a opportunity without running it by some folks who know more than me when it comes to this sort of thing. Appreciate the help!

    Open Array vs Closed

I have a chance to upgrade the Raymarine Quantum 2 Doppler radome to the Raymarine Magnum 4kw 4 foot open array. What would be the advantages of doing this? The boat is a 1994 SR 500DA. It will be on the Allegheny river for the next 4 years, and on the West Coast of Florida after that. Thanks...

    New SR owner - 1994 500 Sundancer

My wife (Sharon) and I (Dave) bought a new to us 1994 500 Sundancer in October, 2021. She's currently in heated storage in Port Clinton, OH, waiting to be trucked out to us in May on the upper Allegheny river north of Pittsburgh, PA. She'll be the queen of the Upper Allegheny for 4-5 yrs, and...

    Foredeck sunpads for SeaRay 500

I'm about 4 hours from Port Clinton. When the new swim platform gets here in Mid March, I'll haul it out there and install it before it is trucked here to the Allegheny River north of Pittsburgh, PA. So it will be a month or so yet before I am near the boat and can get measurements.
