    Dumb Question.

Thanks everybody! I'll check the power at the pump... uh, as soon as I find it. Do you know where that is?

OK, tried the 12V switch at the helm. Light on switch went on but no water.

    Dumb Question.

There's water system switch at the helm for running on battery but I'm not sure what switch to use when on shore power. Here's a photo for the electric panel. Which one turns on the water?

    Dumb Question.

What is the procedure for turning on the water system in a 1996 Sundancer 250, if it hasn't been used for a while (months)?

    270 air conditioner

I had a 10,000 BTU SeaBreeze AC/Heating unit installed on my 1996 250 Sundancer. I attached photos but they may be too big. If so, shoot me an email and I'll send them to you.

    Hard starting until...

Our boat typically cranked for awhile before starting, particularly if it has been sitting for long. We had a starting problem with our Jaguar XK8 recently and the mechanic suggested we add a can of SeaFoam to the gas tank. It solved the problem. So I thought it was worth a shot in the boat. We...

long trip wanting to take on sea-ray 330

Given that the Dominican Republic shares the island with Haiti, there is one change you need to make before you make this trip. Trade your 330 in on a destroyer.

Anybody know the draft on a '96 250 sundancer?

The lift became a necessity. Galvanic corrosion was going after the outdrive and I was going through zincs too quickly. I found a guy who sells and installs used lifts and got a three year old 10000 pounder for $4500 installed. I figure that's cheaper than a new outdrive and I no longer need a...

Anybody know the draft on a '96 250 sundancer?

Dennis, Yeah it fluctuates a lot but before the lift it was tied up at the dock and the drive never bottomed out. So I think we're going to be OK.

Anybody know the draft on a '96 250 sundancer?

Right now we're at low tide and the depth is roughly 33 inches. The rails of the lift are going to take up 10-12 I think. I guess it could be a little dicey at low tide.

Anybody know the draft on a '96 250 sundancer?

Thanks everybody! Now I can figure out if the water is deep enough.

Anybody know the draft on a '96 250 sundancer?

I'm having a boat lift installed and I want to make sure the water is deep enough for the boat and the lift rails at low tide.

    uh oh...this can't be good.

Who knew? I never imagined the drive trim would be connected to only one battery.

    uh oh...this can't be good.

Marina just called. One of the batteries was dead and they replaced it. I asked about the trim motor and they said it was fine. It was hooked up to the bad battery and that's why it wouldn't work. Go figure.

    uh oh...this can't be good.

It seems the solenoid is about $30. I found the entire motor on ebay for $219.95. I'm thinking it makes more sense to replace the whole thing rather than just replacing the solenoid on a 14 year old motor.
