I am betting since Rob Noyes is no longer with the company, that you're gonna have a hard time getting his brother-in-law to load you up on lobsters again.

The area is fine, kinda redneck areas, but safe. Assume you will use your Hilton or Marriott points... Also, check ouit Absecon... the [h=1]Marriott's Fairway Villas[/h]500 East Fairway Lane · Galloway, New Jersey 08205 USA

Has a great golf course and is quite the resort if you have Marriott points...

Bingo! Marriott points....Diamond member for some time but that will be going away now that the Admiral is living La Vida Loca.

If you golf, this is the place... The PGA plays on this course... I have not, I am a hacker, and would not appreciated the course....

I am completely unfamiliar with the East Coast and that is making this harder than it should be. I do have a hotel booked but I am having a hard time with an airport close to AC. Any suggestions on my best bet? Of course I can fly in anywhere and ride in with someone...

Newark Airport ----> AC 114miles. Makes little sense
AC Airport -----> AC 15mi. Makes sense.
Philly Airport -----> 66 miles. might make sense.

I guess it depends on cost of flight to each airport, availability of direct flights. We flew down to Yacht Expo from JFK (in NYC) b/c Newark flight was significantly more expensive. At least you can get a cab to and from airport in AC and not have to rent a car.

Ron,

I think Ken stated earlier in this thread that it was like an 8-12 hour flight to AC with layovers etc. That is why he is seeking an alternative, I believe.

ACY is the closest (Atlantic City) not much goes in to AC

PHL is Philadelphia (about 60 miles away)

EWR is Newark (About 100 miles away)

I recommend PHL, it is easy in and out..

You are welcome to ride with us, but we are not convient to the airports... Ideally if there is someone leaving out of Liberty Landing that would be convient to EWR. If you would like to come with us, I can arrange for you to be picked up at EWR by limo and you can have a rental car brought to the marina...

Ken,

My wife and I will be attending this year, and that gives you 2 additional options (thus leaving Rod's limo available for the Co-Cruise Director...).

1 - Fly into Stewart Airport, located in New Windsor, NY. The airport is only 10 minutes from my house, so we can pick you up, and you can ride on our 340 to AC.

2 - Fly into NYC, and we can pick you up Friday as we pass the city. We can return you to the city after the rendezvous, since we'll be cruising in those waters for a week or so after the rendezvous.

Ron, I said I can arrange for the Limo, not pay for it...:) I can do the same for you, or you can drive over to my house, and ride down with my motley crew... I might be trading my kids for my ski buddies, and they know how to have fun, so I could use a designated driver...

I would think that Dale's offer could work out best for Ken... All he and his wife would have to do is fly into EWR and take a taxi to LLM and have lunch at the light ship while he waits for Dale to arrive... The Ride from NYC to AC would be a blast for Ken...

It was started as just me but now the Admiral is starting to look over my shoulder. Dale, I would be honored to ride in your boat on one condition... I get to supply something for you. It may be great Scotch, great food, something. We will be in touch via PM to see if is can work out.
