Thinking I need a Chrome Anchor

Just got pricing on a Stainless 25lb Kodiak Plow (direct replacement for my boat) and the price is $892. Ouch!

We come up every summer at least once...

Is Tsehum the next marina north of Port of Sidney ?

They have fuel and some pretty big boats tied to the docks..... If so, I took my dinghy in there last summer and snooped around. Some returning boats come in there like a bat out of hell and rocked the sh** out me in my dink.

Yep. That's the harbor. Those 150+' boats are at Van Isle marina. If you go in a little further there's another breakwater and gas dock. That's where I am.
So yeah that first breakwater is like a finish line for some people! They have to do something about that waterway. There's so many boats anchored in there it's a zig zag course trying to get out of the marina now. Then there's all those stupid crab traps strewn everywhere too. Returning to port after dark is a drag... keep your eyes open while you're here!
 
I would say ouch too at $890. I have not been back to my boat to measure my anchor to see what size I need but I hope its not that expensive. Several of the guys have been buying from e-bay and are around the 300-400 dollar range. I guess thats what I have in mind, or at least that is what I told my wife. ut oh.
 
No need to spend that much...Ebay is your friend.

Yea, I won't be paying $900 for an anchor, I just posted that for informative purposes. I will save that $900 to go towards my 340 :thumbsup:. I was just curious how much the exact replacement model for my boat would cost.

I am waiting to see how the Marine Depot anchor fits on another 280 before I purchase. I have read some posts where the Lewmar Delta had issues fitting on some mid-2000s Sport Cruisers. If the "ebay" anchor fits nicely, I will likely join the "bow bling" club too.
 
Ok, so I bit, paid, got a Fed Ex tracking #, but it has never shipped, the phone goes to voicemail that is full so no message left, I have emailed 3 times with no response. I have now researched his Ebay store thanks to you guys pointing it out and this guy has some bad press for EXACTLY the above things I am grumbling about....
We see if he delivers or the fight is on !!!! :smt021

I too have received a tracking # but Fed Ex has not received the part yet. I sent the guy a message thru Ebay...

Let us know how this works out. I too am interested in ordering this anchor....I've not heard of Marine Parts Depot. They seem to have a favorable rating....
 
I've ordered a few things from them and never and issue.
 
Did you buy it from his Ebay store ??

File a dispute with PayPal they'll freeze his account until you tell them that you got the part.. :thumbsup:

Anyone who wants a stainless anchor at 1/20th the cost check this out. At $20 from the local West Marine on the Christmas table- it is alot cheaper than any other Stainless anchor I have seen. I am a little worried about holding power and if it will fit in the anchor roller though. :grin:
