I was waxing my boat this weekend and I noticed that my spot light, the metal bracket that holds the anchor, the schackle that connects the chain and the windless is all chrome and the chain and anchor is galvinized. Does anyone know where I can get a chrome or stainless anchor and stainless chain.

Do a search on Anchors as there have been several threads on this subject already. There could be a fit problem with some of the stainless anchors as I recall.

I hear ya on the Chrome Anchor--I want one as well. I was told that I would have to change my anchor pulpit but don't understand why (Dan-ford to Plow style or something)--got more research to do.

I and a couple others here got ours on Ebay. Chrome 22lb. plow anchor with swivel was 189.00....Awesome anchor for a great price.

I was thinking of taking mine to a plating house that chome plates bumpers . . . not sure why I can't do this. Should cost about $100.

It will look good if you never use it. The plating will scratch off. Stainless is the way to go. I would like to have stainless, but it's way down the list for me.

I bought this one through 'marinepartdepot' on ebay for about $179 I think it was...
The hinged plow didn't fit my roller properly. They have a different 'point to shank' measurement than the delta style.
I bought one because of the same reason... my whole boat was shiny and polished except for the anchor... so I got one and couldn't be happier. Mission bling complete!

I am looking for a SS anchor too. Is there any attachment available to help deter theft? I just dont like the idea of someone being able to pull a pin and take off with it.

My local plater refused to chrome plate my anchor. Said it wouldn't hold up. I can't afford or am too cheap to buy stainless so I paint mine every spring.

I hear ya.....a thief wouldn't bother pulling a pin when bolt cutters take about 3 seconds on a chain link...especially if he gets a $100 plus anchor swivel to go along with it.

Very true, I would just like to help prevent an "ametuer" thief from getting it by pulling the pin if I can.

Maybe there is a way to electrify it? Cheaper than lasers. :smt038

I had my swivel welded on the fastening screws + added a Medeco stainless steel padlock so she won't disappear.

Todd, were you able to get the lock shackle through the swivel and the forward cleat? That bow bling really looks nice.

Now that looks awsome that's what im talking about. I have windless though I want to make sure when I pull it up it will roll over and set in my pulput with out any help.

This is what my bow roller looks like. The hinge plow didn't sit in it very well but the delta sits just right. It was a delta that came original on it.

After looking at the pictures I thought I'd say it before I hear it! My bow lines are like that because it's in a boathouse on a 4 point set-up. That front curtain closes so there's never any wind or excess movement in there.
