.... Chuck--we could leave later if it helps you. Heck, a slow cruise in the dark is a fun option. ....
Yes, they're all the same, just saved in different formats for older Garmin units. If you have a newer unit, they'll probably all work. I think some of the older units will only read certain formats.
Too bad about your closing. Do you think it's just delayed?
(Dealing with an easement issue with the Forest Service so who knows how long it may take)
Yep I was able to open them all in Mapsource. Noticed you don't have water temperature in your track files. Does your sounder/unit not capture it?
We need to start doing a fair weather dance for next weekend!!! I am thinking positive.
The in water times sound great to me. I can make it to Charleston by noon on Friday.
Sadler does your marina have visitor or transient slips?
Slow cruise, alternate anchorage, it's all good to me.
Chuck I hope you work out whatever you need to so you can make it.

Scattered thunderstorms is what I'm seeing in the forecast. If it doesn't get worse we're good. If it gets bad, maybe we discuss a rain date.
Eewww, the weather! Crap...lets do a dance. Rain, rain go away, come again some other...time.? I know, I hate to cuss the rain after the draught we just went through. If we have to rain check it, we'll have a summer long to make up the trip!
Yes, the marina has transient slips, but on Memorial Day weekend they don't take transients because the dry stack boats all come out and have priority for those wet slips for the weekend. We might be able to bootleg a couple of boats on the outside if necessary. Or, don't splash until near departure time--just hang on the marina. Or, another is to splash, get your boat all set, then anchor out from the marina and let me dinghy you into the marina to await departure. If you need a slip sometime for the weekend, the other marinas offer them, but reservations may be full by now. The ramp has a couple of floating docks to tie up to for short durations.
Yea, I forgot about the memorial day thing. I like the, don't splash untill time to go thing.
all summer long to make up the trip!
Guys and Gals, it is looking more and more like I'm not going to be able to make it. Sorry I was really looking forward to it and as they say, boy do I need a break....
