Sounds like a good news. But, from the seller standpoint did you get a deposit and/or written contract with contingensies?
No offer yet. If one comes and we reach an agreed price I will.

How did you find the buyer, or conversely, how did he find you?
Nice ad Greg! Plus it's nice to see you putting your money where your mouth is (so to speak) in terms of providing lots of pictures and even providing your reason for selling:thumbsup:.
I also see that you merchandised to boat well in the pictures. I see so many pictures of boats for sale with dishes in the sink, unmade beds, ratty canvas, tools on the deck, used condoms on the floor, etc. What are these people thinking?
Now, Is someone going to buy your boat because you put out nice little pillows and wine glasses in the pictures? Probably not, but what the hell... why not put your best foot forward?
Nice job!
" but what will you be getting next?"
Thinking about a 410DA, 400DA or a 400DB.
Greg - Well laid out and nice add. Plus the vast knowledge is a must when selling a boat.
If you are looking into a 400DB I have a 2001 with TnT lift and fresh water kept Low hours with a 9.6kw gen set.
Will do, father-in-law keeps his 420AC at James Creek. We visit often so we will have to look you up. Though, with your schedule, I doubt you will be able to fit us in!
At least you do not have 2 dogs ;-)
He sent me a thank you email, stated he is ready to buy and wants to work things out with us. I replied with a "typically what's next in boat buying" email, including surveyor names/#s and asked him to contact me when he is ready to make an offer.
Good luck (seriously!) but I wouldn't get too excited yet. When someone says they want to "work things out" it doesn't ring serious buyer to me, at least not one who doesn't have "lowball" in mind.
A serious buyer- that knows what they want- has no reason to hesitate, especially after spending four hours looking at yours after looking at another of the same model twice. When I found what I wanted, I made a reasonable offer. It was accepted, I put down the 10% deposit. All this does, essentially, is "hold" the boat as the "survey and seatrial" contingency leaves a buyer an out for any reason.
If the guy said he liked what he saw, give him a couple of days and call him. Ask him if he's ready to make you an offer. If not, why?
