The Max/Leclerc battle right after the first round of pitstops was epic. Shows the new cars do indeed to much better following than before.

@OllieC maybe add "(Spoiler Alert)" to your title and then we can all come back and check in as the season progresses.
I cut the cord on cable several years ago and now subscribe to F1 TV (https://f1tv.formula1.com/). It's has great content and you watch when and where you want. It costs about $70 for an annual subscription. Just to add live TV to hulu is $70 a month!
All sports have their controversies and certainly F1 hasn't been immune. The Indy race was a joke, the rain shortened 'race' of last year was ridiculous, and the drama on the last race of last year that decided a championship wasn't its finest hour either.
That said, @MrHappy , you're throwing NASCAR out there as purity of sport?? Please. Fake yellows to bunch everyone up. Purposely pushing competitors into the wall to take them out, fabricated driver drama, etc. It's like the WWE of auto racing.
Indy cars on road courses are great to watch. Even though been to Indy 7 times and many TMS races here locally I just can't get excited about oval racing.
You should have watched yesterday's Atlanta race. Pretty good one. Plus I like the new cars.I said that I had been to over 150 races. I quit going to NASCAR about 15 years ago. I used to tape them and watch every race. I haven’t watched a race in probably eight years.
If it were me, yes. You may be able to find a general admission ticket which could be less. Although we just bought COTA tickets and they completely sold out in a day. General and seats that is, there may be some club passes left.I hope that I'm not highjacking this thread, but I have a question.....
The Admiral and I will be on a Med Cruise this May and our boat will spend two nights in Monaco which corresponds to the Saturday and Sunday of the Grand Prix. We've been to Daytona 500 once and we appreciate racing via NASCAR. This would be our first F1 race. Since it is stupid expensive there, would you take this once in a lifetime type experience and just go for it? I've checked with some concierge services out of London, and depending from where you watch the race, including food and drinks, it can run almost $4,000 per couple. Maybe I'm answering my own question!
I'm looking forward to your responses.

You'd be going for the "event" not the race. You're going to hear the cars but only catch glimpses of them. But, it would sure be fantastic.I hope that I'm not highjacking this thread, but I have a question.....

We did a Silver Seas cruise. I'll never do any other cruise company after that. We were on the Silver Muse. Less than 600 passengers. A butler. Outstanding cruise company@copb8tx We are sailing on Silver Seas line.

Good luck. I hope you go. It's unforgettable. In a good way.We are on her sister ship, the Silver Dawn. I believe that it is being commissioned/christened right about now. We are on one of its firsts cruises. I just hope that we get to go, seeing that the world is so F'd up and Brandon is busy riding his bicycle at Rehobeth Beach.

My Mom and Dad went to Grand Prix De Monaco in 1970 when we were stationed in Wiesbaden Germany. I remember my dad saying that they watched the race from a hill sitting on a blanket with a picnic lunch. Man how things change over time! That is one of the few venues that I would love to go watch an F1 race.I hope that I'm not highjacking this thread, but I have a question.....

When I was Dennis Washington’s personal pilot, he was Prince Rainier’s guest for 4 of the annual races - I think the Prince wanted Dennis‘ yacht, Attessa IV, in the harbor - I stayed in the Loews Hotel on the hairpin turn each time. If even in the slightest it's financially feasible, do it.I hope that I'm not highjacking this thread, but I have a question.....
