The science shows that Pfizer vaccine is 95% effective with a two dose regimine.

The science shows that Pfizer vaccine is 52% effective with a one dose regimine.

Draw your own conclusions how you would like it administered. This thread is becoming, well, like Twitter.

Yup. 95% effective for a population that has a 98.5% immunity.

And the sheep all follow each other to the slaughter house.

I think 95% of the 1.5% (about 4.75 million of 5 million people) will be glad there is a vaccine.
My daughter, her husband, and 2 kids, 14 & 17yo have all been tested for antibodies. Son in law and kids have antibodies, they have no idea when they might have been sick. My daughter does not have the antibodies.

Maybe everyone should be tested for antibodies first. If you got them you could let someone else have the shot. I've read that the total cases in the US are actually 8-10 times what we've found so far. That means there's a lot of folks that could skip the shot if they want, at least until a later date so the high risk folks could get it sooner.

Yes. It would be nice if we knew who the 1.5% are. Then we can just give them the vaccine and tell the other 98.5% to go party hard and fill up restaurants and stadiums and such, and get this behind us in a jif. But, no such knowledge.

Just about everyone I know can point to a few week period from the beginning of last year where the swear they must have had it. I know I had a really sluggish two week period back last summer. But I’ve never been tested for either the virus or antibodies.

My daughter tested positive for covid (the good test)... quarantined for two weeks over Christmas ...got tested for antibodies and it came back negative.

I think both tests have a lot of room for improvement

When I tested for antibodies back in the beginning I was told the test checked for generic coronavirus antibodies. Then based on the fact I was sick, they assume it was covid. I was negative.

Best friend just told me last night that his family had to get tested and are self quarantining. Their daughter already had it a few months ago. She is in gymnastics in college and her whole team was exposed so she tested positive and self quarantined. This past weekend my buddy, his wife and daughter went to meet up with friends to drop their daughter off to carpool to college and Monday morning the friends didn't feel good. Got tested Tuesday and was negative but then tested positive Thursday so friend and his family all got tested. Haven't got the results back yet. It would be interesting if the daughter came back positive since she already had it a few months ago

If within 90 days, they shouldn't test the daughter. The test can still pick up traces and you end up with a false positive.

I'm gonna guess it was about October maybe. Maybe September. He is on my bowling team. We bowl tomorrow night but obviously he won't be there. Not sure if they re-tested the daughter or not. I assumed they did but maybe not.

Just talked to my buddy. Him and his wife came back negative. He said they were tested about 5 or 6 days after their contact. The daughter wasn't there when the other friends were so she wasn't near them and did not get tested.

JAMA has a good YouTube video explaining the different COVID-19 vaccines (
). Pfizer and Moderna do not mess with a person's DNA. Astra Zeneca, Johnson & Johnson, and Merck all modify a person's DNA. I will be taking the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine (or none at all since I already have the antibodies from a natural COVID-19 infection).

Why would big Pharma do that? To sell less “vaccines”?
Do the math. Add up all the funding Pharma has received from US gubberment. That will answer your question.

Then multiply the price per vaccine by the global population...say 7 Billion.

Then, as a blatant middle finger shot at us commoners, Pharma designs a two-fer. You have to get two vaccines for it to work. Another $50 Trillion.

Any questions?

You believe this? LOL.

My wife and daughter who both work in health care got the first dose this past Friday..... let’s hope the second shot is still around ...I am getting skeptical with what Biden is talking about
My cancer doctor told me last week I might be March
My wife is a nurse and received her second shot on Sunday. She has been in bed unable to move since. High fever, every joint in her body aches, massive headache....basically covid minus the virus. Just prior to getting the second dose she said about 30% of the hospital employees have had the same symptoms after the second dose. Human resources has asked everyone not to say anything about it publicly. Gee, haven't seen anything on the news about that so it must be isolated to her hospital o_O. So please you go ahead and take my vaccine.

Meanwhile New York is throwing it out as it expires in the freezer
Exactly. Supply isn't the problem...the ability to administer it is. There aren't enough people to administer it which is the reason states are behind on "expected" vaccinations to date.

Both my wife and daughter got Maderno (sp)...wife had a sore arm daughter no symptoms

My wife got her 2nd shot last Wednesday. She feels fine, said her arm was sore for a day and not as much as when she has gotten the regular flu shot.

Wife has had two rounds of Pfizer. Sore arm after second round.
Son has had one round of Moderna. Sore arm. Took a nap after getting vaccine.

Do you know which vaccine she took? My wife and daughter took the first dose of the Moderna vaccine last Thursday. They both complained of sore arms for a day or two.
